Hi All !

I have the honor to write a review for the first release of the promising label - H2O. This recording is baesd in Israel, owned by three Israeli respected artists : Ari Linker (Alien Project), Avi Algranati (Space Cat) and Ido Liran (Quadra). Together they compiled the "I-Drop" cd with ten powerful tunes of top artists from Israel and abroad.

01. H2O Team - I Dose
Ari, Avi and Ido are shoot first. The story is start with massive beats supported with clever base line. "I-Dose" tune is a typical Israeli full on track, but the flow is very good in my opinion. Unfortunately, this track is a bit commercial for me despite the ability to rock dance floors.

02. Space Cat & Pixel - Clear Test Signal
Track number two is probably the hit of this comp. The coopeation between Avi and Eli is really intersting this time, especially because the unique elements during the track like the smashing brake on 04:20 with the signal test..."test number one, test number two...test number three" BOOM.

03. Save The Robot - I am a Robot
This time Ido Quadra and Ari Alien Project unite forces and present this fine tune. The track is very energetic, full with cheezy melodies and the full-onish fast tempo. If you ask me, this guys did a very good job here and created a twisted-pumping track.

04. Shanti - Proton Pump
Shanti Matkin from Ibiza is also take part here with the H2O team. His style is refreshing and danceable, but not my cup of tea. I really like the melodies here but the whole aspect of this track is very disappointing.

05. Quadra - L.S.D came falling down
Ido took the famous singing from the Goraliaz song and add his personal groove - the result is very jumpy and groovy...really nice work. Even though, I'm not so sure about the effect on the dance floor, but if it's make me smile it's ok for me .

06. Dynamic - When you mix
Now it's time to taste some sophistication from Ben Avital & Shay Elmakies. I like to call this music a "Phantasm style" because the smart building and the gradually strengthening. A rolling base line with crazy kick and tons of cool effects around are the factors for the special atmosphere in the air.

07. Alien Project & Sirius Isness - Fusic
The Spnaish Project is worked together with Mr. Linker on "Fusic" track. Again, they use with pop singing of the well-known singer Madona and turn it to the dance floor direction. Max & Davina's style is more sensed here but Ari's power is an important factor too. IMHO, this track could be much better without the Madona's vocals, but still it's a useful dj tool for full on digings.

08. Dual Core - Synergy
Dual Core is a new project of Adi Milner & Eran Ben-Gaon (ex Point). Their style is influenced by the old Mushroom's line with some modern additions. I found it very enjoyable for home-listening mostly because the great groove and the uplifting playings. The "clean" kick and the proffesional sound sure make it more pleasant for the listener.

09. Orion - Surreal Expansion
Before we'll analyze the track, I just want to say it's my favorite tune here. Jean Borelli is kind of genios for my ears, his old materials always gave me a good impression and now he keep doing it and prove that he still has the magic. "Surreal Expansion" track is a mature full on tune with goa vibes and rare atmosphere. This is the first time after long time that I'm impressed so much from full on material. Thanks a lot Mr. Borelli and keep it up and up.

10. Space Cat - Kreak Part 2
The finalla can't be better...Avi has upgraded his old "Kreak" tune (first released on 1999 - Beam Me Up album). The new version is brilliant ! the old effects of the original track remind me a good days and together with Space Cat's current touch the track is sound so good and smiley. A marvelous ending for this VA.

To sum it up - "I-Drop" cd is a different compilation - more colorful and varieted. I'm sure that each full on fan will glad to put his hands on this cd and I'm recommended to get it original :

so... i've got it...
yes there is nothing revolutionary as it was said but there are some nice tracks for sure. i liked space cat and pixel track but not sure how it works on a dancefloor cause of many stops and pauses. then i dig save the robot track - very nice. not so bad the track of shanti. surprisingly lot of fun came with alien project and sirius isness piece: nice build ups, good bold sound in mainstream manner and even sample didnt spoil the thing for me. but the best one is definetely space cat - kreak part 2.           Spiritual guides are to practice and serve in ways that cultivate awareness, empathy, and wisdom.

Here comes the first compilation of a promissing new label...her war name is H2O and the team consists in some of the most well known names in trance scene...let’s listen.

iDrop starts with a track done by H2O Team, namely Alien Project, Space Cat and Quadra...it has a solid and fat bassline, some synth sounds that I recognised from another Space Cat tracks, some expansive morning melodies, quiet and nice construction.

The second one is a collaboration by Space Cat and Pixel...it has a fat and groovy bassline, some strong melodies with a lot of industrial sounds on it...the only thing I don’t like is the sample ”This is a test of frequency instruments, bass, drums, distortion, artifacts”, the sample is nice but is repeated so many times.

Track 3 is done by Save The Robot, project by Alien Project and Quadra...it has a strong and groovy kickbassline full of breaks – one of my favourite things in Save the Robot is the energy that his breaks gives to the tracks...it has too nice morning melodies and a voice sample “I Am a Robot” – this could be repeated less times but its good anyway

Track 4 is called “Proton Pump” and is done by Shanti...it has a nice groovy bassline, a great work with the hihats and some synth sounds that makes me remember some Oforia tracks...it has an evolving contruction till the middle, but from 4:00m its very similar till the end and I think starts to be a bit repetitive...

Track 5 is done by Quadra and take us into a more commercial style of trance...groovy and powerful bassline, some pacific and morning melodies, nice breaks, it has a nice rhythm but its not my style at all.

Track 6 is done by Dynamic and is a bit more hard and psychedelic...it has a groovy and rhythmic bassline, some synth acid sounds going in and out, dark and fractal melodies taking us to space...it’s definitely the most electrising track on this compilation.

Track 7 is another good collaboration, this time Alien Project with Sirius Isness...this track could be really great if there wasn’t the Madonna vocals on it...I like Madonna tracks but here I think they not feet very well...great morning melodies, groovy and strong bassline, good contruction, just the vocals are bad.

Dual Core gives us the 8th element, that is into a more calm and experimental side of fullon...some uplifting melodies, a different but very nice bassline mixed with some spiritual noises that seems women vocals with some filters, very relaxed and groovy.

Track 9 is done by the well known Orion and continues in the same relaxed mood of the last track...it has a dry bassline, some dreamy pads, all the track has a pacific soundscape on it, very mellow and smooth.

Track 10 is a piece of art, my favourite from Space Cat of all of his (many) previous works...this track has a great introspective effect, everytime I listen it makes me remember of past...fat bassline, beautiful morning melodies, there is no words for describing it, just listen

I think H20 started very nice with this first release...it shows their kind of sound that in my opinion is very great, some tracks has much vocals but in general we have nice psychedelic trance here, in the majority more fullon oriented.

I agree with you guys: although it is well produced and will work on the dance floor, it contains no inovation and except for one or two tracks, I dare to say it did not provide a psy journey for me.

Sure it can add raw power to a full on set, but that's all.

I dunno why - but i love this track and the sample.

I normally don't listen much of this fullon style, it is all used tooo often - but this track rocks for me            Signature

I don't want to offend good old friends but they can do 10 times better. This also goes for a lot of the other oldies doing generic Full On with no surprises whatsoever.

Despite their good soundquality this is very boring generic typical Full On.

I am not sure why talented artists use their time on repeating themself over and over again year after year using the same sounds, buildups and arrangements.. Maybe its fear of loosing gigs or "star" status? Yes guys i know you need your money BUT.

The bottom line of this very short "review" is. You can do so much better. Try something new for a change!
