Hi All !

The familiar DJ Pena was compiled one more masterpeace for us with 8 groovy tracks with the necessary sophistication. On the compilation you can find "big" names like Perfect Stranger, Echotek , James Monro and more...
"Daily Basis" was released on June 2006.

01. Echotek - Forever Nights
Micha has the honor to open this comp and he did it successfuly . His unique style is something between proggy and full on and he know how to combine it perfectly for the dance floor. This groovy base line always make me move the head with big big smile...together with this effects around, this "forever night" sound like a magical journey. An excellent begining for this story...sexy music....

02. Behind Blue Eyes & Perfect Stranger - Diamond in the Rough (Perfect Stranger Edit)
The original version of this track was released on Iboga's last comp ("Summer Collection vol 2"), and here Yuli is present his new edit for it. The track is more relaxing and deep with the PS special atmosphere. There is almost no stop on the track...always the developing beats with an emotionaly playings on the side. On 04:30 the track is down completly and give us an unforgatablle brake with pumping up and some sparks of positive energy all around. Goos work Yuli.

03. James Monro - Psycho
The honorable, Mr. Monro, is the next to come. I think it will be right to divide this track for 2 parts : The developing part (00:00-06:00) and the psycho part (06:00-until the end). The first part is a bit boring and stuck without any special element or move but thats all change after six minutes - than suddenly there is four minutes of madness and freestyle mind with unclear effects. This man is so supring and varied...

04. Rob Mooney - Feelin Electro (Valentino Kanzyani rmx)
Very nice electro tune...too much similar to the house genre in my opinion, but it can easily be a hit on the main-stream dance floors. A refreshing track for the summer time, which spread some good breeze around.

05. Fusi & Johnson - Outside
After the "noisy" track before, "Outside" is more deeper and groover. This is kind of tune which fit exactly for home-listening with a promised enjoyable . I like this tempo because it's always make you move slowly with a body shaking. Kind of electro-progressive track with a lot of vocals & samples around, and tons of good vibes everywhere.

06. Lunaspice - Collectiv Energy
A new project for me, but the music speak for it self. A proffesional progressive with a smart building, hypnotic atmosphere and great flow...the kick is fat and stretch like it should be and all this components fir together well. This track is more for the soul and less for the legs .

07. True To Nature - Breeze
Ten minutes of pure pleasure ! the story start with a delightful introduction and keep this stirring orientation all over the track. I'm recommend to the listener to close the eyes and let this beautiful tunes to get in to the brain...an unique experience for sure ! there is no necessity for definition here - just a good music...well done.

08. Manuel Duego - Inside The Box
The last track is come from a very talented young artist from Israel. This guy have an excellent proggy skills, and he know how to use the formula on the right way. A pushing progreesive track with fantastic atmosphere and brilliant melodies over. For me this is the best track on this special compilation. This track will take you to a rare trip of hallucinate vibes next to the pumping beats. PERFECT !!

"Daily Basis" is a different compilation from Flow Records. Pena has pay more attention to the electro-house direction but did not forget the lovely progreesive music and this combination creates a 8 tracks story with touches from each genre.

Another Classic review from the master of reviewing.
Good to have u back onboard,GC.

Regarding the compi,i would say it's a fine follow-up to yotopia's Globalize - which raised the bar abit for Flow compi's.

Notables are Echotek's opening tune, which i think is the best ive heard from him so far.

PS's version of Diamond in the rough takes this tune to higher places than the version that was released on iboga, nice one Yuli.

Diggin' also the later part of the compi ,which is in a deeper and more floating vibe.

Definitly a very good compi for the summer time!

As a wanna-be irregular reviewer, i bow down to HIS COHEN-NESS and praise HIM for this piece of scripture that I shall try to model all my further sorry attempts at reviews after. HIS prose is unequalled, HIS analysis is breathtaking, HIS judgement is THE LAW.

And finally this gets reviewed. I've gotten it in my last order, which is about a week ago now. Great compilation. Sturdy all around, and for once not the easy way out with 8 standard tracks of normal length, but handpicked 8 tracks with longer than average length to come at a whopping 73 minutes playtime. Thumbs up to Pena for compiling this. I like all the tracks, but track 5 could've done without those daft samples from Eiffel 65's "blue" song. My god. :S           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Good summer collection of tunes from Pena. Raising the level, imho, since the previous "Globalize".

PS's version of the gem "diamond in the rough" is superb. Very different from BBE's edit. I wouldn't say it takes me higher, more likely deeper for the emotional motive that sets in the break and around which is built up the second half of the track. A lot of the orchestration, like the percussions or tribal elements, takes up elements that sound already great in PS's album. But Mr Oshrat, as a great chef, never repeats himself, cooks a different and exquisite meal with some recurring ingredients in each track. That's talent! More of that!!!

The Rob Mooney is surely a dance floor smasher.
I like also the Lunaspice. My favourite track from him so far.
Fusi& Johnson have another good one here, but true enough the samples are not essential here... The opening track by Echotek is interesting too...
A serious release by Flow. Keep it up!

Really good compilation!
thumbs up for this one!

The True to Nature track is just amazing...works perfect on the dancefloor for morning and afternoon times..what a trip! The kanziany rmx is indeed a bit noisy but quite a smashing piece of music...needed some time to groove into it..but a "havin it" tracK!
Fusi & Johnson track is really pumping and hypnotic but that vocal (couldnt believe it at first, haha) is indeed a bit too much!
Good review in fact...thanks!
Great compilation!...keep up the good work FLOW rec.

Totally agree with mr. Oshrat, Yotopian's Globalize was an excellent compilation, and its really hard to keep on that high level these days.

However, Pena deals with the challenge very well, the flow of all the tracks in this compilation is good and the sound production & mastering are top notch.

Standouts: Kanzyani remix for Rob Mooney - Killla, Luna Spice's collectiv energy, the Fusi & Johnson track, and Yuli's diamond is the rough.

Keep on the good job!
