Well....first of all sorry fro my lame review.... buti had just received my order from saiko sounds,of this compilation...and it'll be too hard for me to not write some reviews about this interesting compilation...
1.Chromatone & Random & Helios - Merciful Error
the first thing that captivates u about this track is that sitar kinda intro. the track keeps evolving and just the pace just keeps goin and goin . a perfect twilight track. man that intro still keeps ringing in my head. very nice start indeed!!!
2.Chromatone & Christine - Existentialist Detectives.
though this track doesnt quite suit my taste....it has got a very good rhythm about it.....very neat production i must say and very good morning track thats a sure winner on the dancefloor.
3.Chromatone & Earthling & Random - Biing Sticky.... i feel a lil let down by this track....not quite suitin the good feelin im already experiencing with the previous 2 tracks.... but hey just my cent!
4.Chromatone & CPU & Random - Strengthen the Strange
"Evolution revolution"!!!!..wooooooaaaaa...wat can u expect from this collaboration???....yes...pure twilight madness.....this track is a banger right from the word go! wa....im lovin it!
5.Chromatone & Digital Talk & Random- Spiritual reality.
Need i say again wat u can expectfrom this collab again?....yes u can hear that trademark DT basslines just pumpin out...those screechin and tweakin leads.... and superb breakdowns...... this is my fav from the album so far apart from the previous track.
6.Chromatone & Freaks Of Nature - Glow-Stick Armageddon
hmmm....i havent heard freaks of nature music before...and after listenin to this track ... i think im gonna be huntin for more of their tracks......needless to say....even this one is a pretty good track as well...!!!!
7.Chromatone & Hyper Frequencies & Random - Laser Wax
Well this is the fastest track in the compilation and arguably the best!! why so...coz true to the artist name.....its HYPERRRRR FREQUENCIEEES! it just keeps growin and growin and massive break down and buildup towards the latter part of the track.....andit just explodes!!! BOOM BOOM BANG BANG!!!
8.Chromatone & Neuromotor & E.S.X.S.-Electryk Chromama
You can always expect to hear good tracks from Fred coz he's been there for a real long time. His new mechanical tweaky sound is very evident in this track...some interesting elements as well put together which i presume could be the works from the new artists...which keeps the track very interesting....super!!!
9.Chromatone & Rob-Ot & Psytony- Green Power House
Now this is wat surprises me a lil??.....well i cant say that its bad...coz beleive me...this is quite a good track....more proggy though....but it soothes down eveerything...and just keeps u swaying .... chaning the mood a bit...i think this is a very good ending to this whole compilation.
Now having said this...i must say this defenitely has been a fantastic piece of work from Chromatone!!!And what is more interesting is the collabration of newer sounds and acts like Helios, Esxs, freaks of nature...although i feel some of the tracks could have been better...but hey..im not complaining ...this ones been a fantastic journey. I must also say that the most catching part of this whole VA if anyones ever noticed is the breakups,downs and buildups.... and i wasnt surprised when chroma mentioned in the credits of the album about random's work in tht area.... HATS OFF!! Very good compilation!!! i would give this 8/10
Hope my first proper lame review did just justice to everybody.....
BOOOM!!!

Judging from the BOOM BOOM BANG BANG and all the exclamation marks I think this is an album I'm probably best off avoiding...

Well I have this album now for couple of days and can say, it´s not the best realease but it´s good, Some tracks have this "maximalistic" style.
to use your head you have to go out of your mind |

this guy is  ... looott of variations in his musik.. ths wat makes me feel good abt his musik....
And very effective on dance floors...
The track spiritual reality is booomm....
Thre goes my remix to a old fav ... Esxs (neuromotor) track electryk mama....
He made electryk chromama.. haha But shuld say I loved the original track by neuro...
Altogether nice album..

fantastic album with alot of work put into. Everytrack is a banger in its own right, and ive enjoyed hearing many of them wrote and danced to em being playtested...
every single one works great on the dancefloor
my favorites have to be 4/5/6 though, these collabs just work wonders with each other..
above someone said they didnt like it because its was maximillistic, I think thats one of the strogest points of Chromatones production, he does what other full on producers dont,,, provides layers and in depth sound scapes...

This cd is outrageous-outrageously good!
Fullon but with tons of groove and twists and turns that make you dance aound like a madman. And as Shawnodese says dripping with the good stuff!
Not your standard shredder here!

Nice to see this one get reviewed finally.
I've watched this one get built in various stages and I can safely say that Lawrence and Ross are completely insane. Supremely dedicated, like bulls charging through the gates of what's possible sonically and psychedelic-ally.
This release sets a standard. Yes its 'maximal', nope its not for everyone per se, but the tracks cause absolute dancefloor meltdown. I've even seen hip-hop heads eat dirt like on way too much delsyd.....

I just ordered this from geomagnetic.tv... I'm very much looking forward to it!
Chromatone live the best trance act I have ever seen - better than KoxBox, Eskimo, etc. He is criminally underrated on the international circuit.
Sometimes I get jaded about trance and think it's all been done before, but this kind of sound excites me and sparks my passion for the intricate madness of true psychedelic trance like none other. |
