For all of you who own first chapter in Prooved serie im sure it was a great moment to see that second cd is out, just becoze with no doubt for me first was best compilation of a year at least, i still exciting every time when i play Monalisa Overdrive. Well, expectations is very high and i was prety much shocked how second compilation can be not less great that a first one, usualy secod chapters much weaker..
Anyway, what we got here is a international special groove masters come together under friendly roof of a compilers Tobias Bayer and Christian Wedekind aka D-NOX which put a hard work on make this cd flow like nothing else. I have to say that there is a print confuse on a track list and track 4 should be number 5 and a opposite, sad mistake which will not be forgiven never, you hear me Chris ?:) Lets check the tunes -

01. Motion - Fuzz - French guys from Sub Machine records deliver us their typical slow deep trance groove, prety minimal and atmospheric, a smooth opener..
02. Eelke Kleijn - Traveling - Fresh talent with super fat progressive groove, the bpm is very slow (about 126-127) but still this one party bomb, its develop slowly but sure and small details just done amazing, this name is something to watch out in future, i love this one.
03. Absolut and Blade - Pure Edge (Engelpost RMX) - Been released before on PP vinyl. This is big, smooth and sexy melodic track, almost make you cry while you dance.. In second half when melodie develop its unforgetable.
04. Vision and Canedy - Dusk - Those guy tribal experts but for me this tune is a weak point of the cd and of V&C biography, its have everything to be good but its just all overused by this guys.
05. D-Nox & Beckers - My Number One - D-Nox and Franck aka Space Safari, DJ and The Musician, dont you think its gonna be real thing ? So what we get is a percussive intro with speach that such trax maded for the girls then when bass line is added its became brilliant, the electro influenced progressive house-trance but with completely stuning sound work, something very special and if you play it loud enough you just can feel it no more words..
06. Fitalic - Bustanovice - Fitalic from Holland finaly realy make me happy with his music, fora truth everything i heard before from this guy was ok but never rely tuched me, this time i stucked with open mouth. Its starts with tribalistik intro and again like in last track, when bassline hit in you just find yourself fly around. Its so enjoyable, easy and fat.. The melodie is Netherland classic half cheezy one but i just cant find better tune to be played to realy big crowd!
07. Qualia - Jogg Beat - Slovenia based duo bring us a party firemaker, electro bassline, fast beat and lots of percussions to keep you grooving. This guys gonna be big, im happy to have their track on my VP as well. Dancefloor damage promised !
08. Space Safari - Travel Around - Franck Beckers close this compilation with another esson in music. Deep, realy groovey track with typical Space Safari build up and nice arranged vocals, hearttuching one, best possible way to close amazing compilation..

overall best cd compilation in a while, i like all trax instead V&C one, mastering is high class coze the sound realy clear and home friendly, thanx Tobi and Chris for this grooves !

Oh my god what a sound to this release.

First time I heard it it sounded damn cool to me and then I was playing around with it mixing it with other proggy sounds and wow man it has HUGE production, felt quite embarassed about my own sound.. hehe

my own favourites here 1,4,5 altho I like all of it maybe except the last track that the singing is not completely my cup o' tea.

no 5!!!!!!!!!!!! tho is so so so good track, I really take the hat off in front of Dnox and Beckers, damn u guys made a perfect track to anyone's bootie.. Keep this funky style on!!           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

Stunning release!!

Liked every track, but I must make a special mention to Motion, Vision & Canedy, Fitalic and, most of all, Qualia. I have never heard of them before, so it was even more of a pleasure listening to their track. Anybody got any ideia who is/are this guys?

Cheers

thanks to all for your fantastic feedback ....

I also have to say that this is the best compilation I have done, but I only could get such a nice product with the amazing help of my partner and friend Tobias Bayer. We both spend a long time to made this compilation complete.

I´m really glad that you like "Prooved Vol 2"

- We are already working on further projects .... just wait till Spring 2005. We just finished our next Bomb... "Outsider" is a CD compiled by Djane Tati from Barzil .... She selected 8 awesome tracks, just to name a few: Vision & Canedy, Igal M., Fitalic, Taylor & Meehan, James Benitez and so on ....

About the prooved CD, I feel a little bit shame about the misstake we have done.... please care that track nr. 4 is track nr 5 and 5 is 4 .... SORRY FOR THIS, it will never happend again

cheers to all and stay tuned

I wasn't a big fanatic of the first prooved compilation (although the Dransfeld tunes were just amazing - by the way what has happened since partycentre 800, any news?). Prooved was indeed a change for the die hard progressive psytrance addict but it needed some time to develop as a worthy style on it's own. And after those years of waiting some dj's and producers managed to let the customer look over the tight bounderies of the psyscene and they prooved there's a whole new world out there with their second compilation. Reloaded was an 'aperitif' and prooved 2 is just spot on.

my favourites are 1(!),2,3,5,6,7(!)

this is the way to go

thank you Christian and Tobias. keep on groovin'

I dig this cd! the only complain I have is about those vocals in space safari track... I really dont like them.. except for that, all the rest is great...

and about the cover: I quite like it.. more ´minimal´, but nice use of colours.. and the fiery woman sexy thing, also defines well the cd (perfect cd for woman shaking their hips hehehe =)

congrats.. Im waiting for more (nice, a cd compiled by tati.. she is a great dj... )
