Since nobody has made a review for this awesome release, I'll put my full review here. Let's kick off!!

This is second release from my favorite label Zenon Records which is owned by Tim Sensient. I'm a big fun of their concept and first release "Eyes Rolling". It was very trippy psyche, funkadelic minimalistic music I call. I'm so happy with this release. My expectation was very high since last release was smach hit for me, but Permutation met my expectation fully. Also its cover artwork is really beautiful. Nice.

V.A. Permutations / Zenon Records

1. Kent - bush too
2. SunControllSpecies - from with in to without
3. Cujorious one - gelfling gaggle
4. Sensient - ballistic
5. Legohead vs Sensient - modus operandi
6. Klumerur - you decide
7. Praecox - noye frizur
8. Freq - insane tree
9. Moses - dyhydrated

1) Nice opening track from Kent...I don't have much infomation about this artist expect hearing some tracks from submachine rec. Starting with scary voice sample. I thought it is kinda slow feeling but after 1:30 pushing baseline kicks in and gives it driving groove. Nice dark atomosphere, and trippy synthes.

2) Wow Suncontrollspecies made it again. they are keep releasing very nice tracks from ZMA, and other labels. This track sounds the best sound production. Strong kick, clear hat, and techy touch which reminds me Wizzy and Overlap sound...very stylish.

3) Dark powerful minimal track from Cujorious One who I don't know much about. it is kinda short jorney which is 5:37. It is meant to be a warm up for Sensient track?? not much to say but not bad at all. Very powerful....

4) Sensient....no introduction for him. wow he is my hero all the time. All his tracks is very well composed...just right amount of sound, and progression. Dark feeling with pushing bass and kick, and of course his speciality very TRIPPY samples and synthes. I really loves his style...long build up and magnificent ending. Keep on rocking Tim.

5) This is a collaboration track is created by Logohead and Sensient. Dark pumping track which makes you bounce and bounce yet sensient's insane samples and synthes are alive vividly. After long break down at the middle, feeling of this track changes complately. Feels like hearing 2 tracks within one track. Very interesting composition.

6) Oh my god...this krumelur track almost kills me.....I'm tripped out...insane. Starting with crazy voice sample with wierd sound. Well...all i can say about this track is wierd...very wierd.

7) Funky minimal track from Praecox who is a half of BIGWIG. I leally like to listen his track. This is also very interesting track as always. I feel like visiting in psychedelic wonderland land. Full of dark fantasy story beginning to the end.

8) This is a first appearance after his massive release "Strange Atractor" for Freq, I believe. Unlike his other releases, this is a bit minimalistic and less grooves, but I feel Freq's synthes and morning melodies well and fits good enough with the concept of Zenon. Neat track.

9) Moses....I don't have any info about Moses...the track has beautiful atomosphere and morning melodies which gives us nice feeling to begin the thought of the ending of this whole jornery. It is perfect for the ending of this comp. Nice strings at the end.

All in all, this is the best deep minimal compilation I've ever met. Great concept with varied tracks. Thanks Zenon crews for releasing such an album. Keep it up, guys. Good luck with new releases.

Highly recommended for minimal/ dark progressive listeners.

Final verdict 10/10

Thank you guys for the comments.

At first track of my review,Kent track, there is misspelling...which is "expect". I meant "except". It was too late to edit

Nice review man... Exactly what I was gonna say about the tracks...

Once again well done tim for the great compilation that u brought to us...

Very well collected and compiled... Zenon records is showing the other site of of some overuse genres... Meaning that with the help of Zenon we will always have something alternative and new for the ear...

I enjoyed this compilation from the day i got it.. great minimal style tracks that represents the Zenon sounds...

My fav's are the Sensient track and the Klan track.. the others are great as well.. Freq and SCS always deliver some great progressive, alongside with a bunch of new artists for my ears, which it is nice to hear..

Congrats Tim for this Comp.. i hope there will be more to come..           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9

Yes Anakoluth, the magic is gone.Eyes Rolling was realy amazing, great dark atmoshpere, but after hearing this one a cuple of times i must say im very disapointed.there are some good tracks in this album,Cujorious One track is realy good but its damn short,Sensient track is nice but he can do much better (vector Director)imo.
and Krumelur track realy did it for me,all in all this is not what i expected from zenon after Eyes Rolling wich was the best minimal compilation i heard.

im sorry there are some dissapointed people about this compilation. I agree it does not have the same vibe as eyes rolling. The way the tracks came together for that one was very special. It was very lucky cause i probably dont have to tell you people how hard it is to find quality tracks in that dark minimal style. Very few people making it these days. So a different outlook was employed for permutations. It was less about creating an overall vibe and more about releasing tracks that are musically interesting and different to the usual progressive stuff. That being said i still think every track on this cd is quality...peace.

There are some compilations which feel like a collection of tracks randomly thrown together... this ain't one of them. For compilations which touch on different styles while drawing a connection from track to track one can appreciate musical stylings you wouldn't usually enjoy... because it fits the pattern - you wouldn't judge a track by its lonesome but rather how it fits into that big picture that is the compilation's flow. And here this is where the album excels, for it is minimal, progressive, and psychedelic all in one. I'm not a minimal fan but I'll put this one on and enjoy the minimal because its the little taste of it that I have in my collection - you see? So for that I applaud tim and everyone behind this one, its a good selection that remains diverse and interesting with several tracks that really do it for me (sensient material, krumelur = madly cool, and I'm a total FREq by now!) with more favourites to develop surely as I listen deeper through time. Keep those concepts morphing Zenon!
Peace.

....what kind of magic u missed neo???

...what's gone really???

i think something new has appeared and that's why the new zenon VA is diffrent then the previous one.

who told u that the "Permutations" will be the same as the "Eyes Rollin"?? noone.

as far as i know tim's label is not about printing the next "dark minimal " cd BUT it's about the uniq, original, non stereotype mucis from the artist of DIFFRENT styles!

..i haven't found this concept as boring already given minimal, boring shit BUT evolving, changing suprising music of a diffrent styles and personalities!!!!

...is it pity?

...i'm happy!
