file under - progressive trance.
label - Iboga.
name - FX.
compiled by Mikael Dahlgaard aka Emok.

track list with short expressions:

01 Jaia - The Peter Pan Syndrome - well, dunno what syndrome Yannis got, but its sure very upgrated sound of him here. nice groovey UK bassline combined with trance build ups, prety nice and warming.

02 Frogacult - Lucky Strike - possible my favorite act right now. another smoothy morning trance. everything flow everywhere and with great harmony.

03 Oryx - This Goes Back - another deep digable trak by Oliver.

04 Filur - Underrated - much more psychedelic than latest Sebastian works alone or together with Marcus, but i remember promises here on forum from him that Filur will goes to more trance areas, well done in fact.

05 Double Dragon - here is a second surprize on this cd (after hearing Jaia make UK trance), Steve Good in tottaly different tune of him, more into hard house feeling but in good taste, quite nice.

06 Emok,Coyle & Jokke - Cex - cex, sex, whatever - its bloody brilliant !! its like monalisa overdrive from last year. happy, uplifting tune.

07 True To Nature - Pulsar - unknown act for me (Jokke from previous trak as half of it, who is it btw ??) give here very nice sound for morning hours.

08 Flowjob - Fluff Me Tender - my favorite piece here. my kind of music. dont think too much, just feel and listen.

its a very nice compilation that remind first compilations from Iboga records at its absolute quality, massive possibility for home using (order and choice of music just good its what i mean).
it was nice to get this cd two weeks after their label party here in Israel, i smell very nice year from this label with Antix,Phony Orphants,Frogacult albums infront.

This is indeed an excellent release from Iboga, with some real gems.

Some of the tracks are trancy, while some are more progressive, and very housy.

I especially like the Frogacult track from their last EP. Their style is really excellent for the morning hours (but perhaps they need to make more variation in their tracks in the future).

The tracks by Emok, Coyle & Jokke and True To Nature are very housy. Not that it's a bad thing though - I think these tracks are the best on the entire compilation. True To Nature is quite a big name on the progressive trance/house scene in Copenhagen, and you should definatly keep your eyes open for some more releases by these guys.

But back to the compilation; I can't find a single bad or below average track, and overall I must say that I can highly recommend this release.

My verdict: 9/10

Good, comp but too housy imho. True to nature is getting better and better, and after hearing them live i know there is a lot to come.

It's two guys from Denmark - Tom and Jokke, and Jokke is also involved in one of the other tracks on this compilation.

They're quite big on the danish progressive/house scene - and they're often playing live or DJ'ing at parties in Copenhagen.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase
