A producer writes and plays his own tracks
A DJ is an individual who selects and plays prerecorded music for an intended audience. |

ok ok ok enough of this discussion in semantics.. i was merely pointing out that dj often refers to producers too.. so people giving their favourite producers as artists wasn't way off line.
never mind then.. lets limit ourselves to those who 'mix best' then.. which isn't quite as exciting..

i quite like the fact that it was DJ's only as that presents a challengs as everyone and their aunty is writing now a days , very few people are focused purely on mixing

er..my very coded last post on this matter
most producers cant dj propely , thats why they play LIVE SETS....
there is a clear distinction between dj and producer....
i am with mr sparx on this one
a producer who can dj is skazi, for example, he may not be the best producer , but he can certainly dj very well
if you wana see good dj/producers check the euro trance boys..
guys like paul van dyk and ferry corsten
exceptional djs and producers.... |
