maybe you're not insane it's a matter of taste i guess...
Personally speaking, there are very few uplifting tracks that i like. i usually find annoying that synthesizer melodies that occur in the middle of the tracks (after the very good intro's!). i also sometimes think that uplifting appeals to younger ages 15-18. after this age people tend to musically grow up and delve deep into the real psy...

p.s. i don't mean to insult anyone who listens to this music. i just said my opinion and the impression i get from my country's scene.           human mind is a parachute. It works when it is open...

"after this age people tend to musically grow up and delve deep into the real psy... "

even though you said you don't want to offend, that's still offensive. I dont even understand why you would consider a shift away from "uplifiting" trance a musical maturing. That doesn't make any sense. Why would changing music preference, and limiting your taste in music be considered growing up? If I were to to apply the term "musically grow up" (as obsurd as it is), I would say that it means to begin to appreciate a wider range of music, not the opposite.

I said that because it's the way it happened to me! i first started listening uplifting and then loved psy... i felt that i became musically more mature. if you can't understand this i'm sorry but you don't have to! it's a personal feeling i get whenever i change music styles and i don't say that this applies to everybody! i change, my music taste change too! simple as that.

p.s. From the years i used to hear death metal i feel that i became more mature. you can definately tell by one's music taste!           human mind is a parachute. It works when it is open...

As much as I disagree with nitzhonot (or ex-nitzhonot) fans, they are the core of the most popular streams of psytrance today, and you maybe forget, but this specific style more than tripled the scene's size in 3 years. Yes, a lot of people made fun of this music and said that it brought a lot of 'ugly' people to our scene. This just shows how big a bunch of bigots we have in the psytrance world.

I can recommend that if you connect to nitzhonot, then Yahel and the entire late 90s clubtrance wave (you know, the pre-deep trance mainstream stuff) may be just about the thing for you, as most of the fans that listened to nitzhonot moved either to full-on or to this form of mainstream club music, and as you've already heard full-on and are looking for something a bit more uplifting, you may find this just the right music for you.

For all you condensending pricks that think that musical taste can explain someone's mental workings, this close-minded way of thought is better used in racism than in actual understanding of people. Who the hell are you to tell someone how mature he is according to a few posts on the internet?           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
