It is with great joy that we from Universo Paralello invite all of you to another New Year’s Festival. Once again, the Festival will take place at the amazing Pratigi Beach, county of Ituberá, in the magical state of Bahia. Again, the festival will happen between 28 December till 03 january 2007.
The widespread repercussion that the last edition of the Festival had with the local community of the county of Ituberá only confirmed that Pratigi Beach is our sacred space for celebration, ritual and practice of citizenship – all elements that mark the character and identity of our event. Our fantastic psychedelic tribe can once again expect the warm open-hearted welcome of the local community.
MUSIC
Just as in previous years, the Festival will be seven days long and will have two spaces dedicated to music, the Main Dance Floor and the Alternative Dance Floor. Famous artists, who have been invited strictly due to the quality of their creative output, will be sharing the stages with new uprising artists, who will bring new colors and concepts to the Brazilian scene, keeping up with the tradition of the Festival. Soon, we will post the already confirmed names and as we move closer to the Festival, other atractions will be added to the line up. Always check for updates on our site.
CIRCULOU – CITIZENSHIP, ART AND ALTERNATIVE CULTURE
In its seventh edition, the Festival will welcome an even more respected Alternative Culture Movement. The space will be open for artists, alternative therapists, mystics, prophets and all the lucid madmen of this planet to present their projects and confirm the fact that Universo Paralello has always been a space for innovation and experimentation.
We welcome all projects and innitiatives that bring social and cultural benefits to the community of Ituberá, and not just projects related to activities within the festival.

Keeping with the alternative spirit that permeates the Festival, all necessary comfort will be offered so that the public can fully enjoy their seven-day stay with safety, good food, a clean environment, transportation, life-guards, bars, fairs and the like.

Great going Brazil!!
Cant wait to see the banging line up for Universo Paralello. Its becoming bigger n bigger each year.
Very nice facilities you got there. Sounds like the ppl are in for a really nice time.

I would like SO much to attend but... with the risk to sound silly I have to ask one question: what are the chances for some snake to sneak into the tent or backpack on that beach  |

i didnt see a single snake there last year... i did have a crab come in the tent at night and try and eat my hair.... fast little thing!!! pretty harmless though!
great festival!!!! one of the best organised events i ve been to!
