so true!  but that doesn't have to be a bad thing imho, it is what keeps music evolving, because you want to create newer tracks and want to have newer tracks and people want to listen newer tracks, although playing some canned, slowly chilled classics or underground killer old tracks that never became mainstream is killah imho

i got a gap year and i´m living from hand to mouth and travelling a lot indeed and that makes me happy...
doughcherry got a very good point.. why depend on work?

well, I prefer to depend on work rather than sitting on somebody's neck and make him pay for my living expenses.
And IMO working is good, Yes, it makes you tired , sometimes depressed,and many people are not in love with what they are doing as their professional job, BUT at the same time it gives direction to your life, and you can serve other creatures with what you are doing and at the same time you'll get paid so you don't have to get money from someone else for free.
and again you depend on work cuz you need to earn money for living, unless you wanna live like a hippy and travel from festival to festival and maybe buy and sell drugs, to get some money for your food.
No offense to doughcherry and anyone else here. This was just my personal opinion on this thread and everybody is free to live based on his own opinion.

I quit my unix programming job and started this radio station , Radio Schizoid ( www.schizoid.in )
I spend the whole day listening to music and lazing around.

I totally agree with psysnoopy  in regards to his views on a worklife.....
Work according to me balances ur freak life....its the yin and yang....excess of either and the whole equiation goes awry.....u balance ur worklife with ur lil secret freaklife ....n u prevent ur freakines from degrading into wastefulness with a job.....
For me a perfectly able ,capable and talenetd person who chooses to be wasted n not work is a complete waste of sperm.....
Here in India or bombay atleast ud be akin to a "BIHARI" !!!

you are bound to depend on someone at some point by merely changing your dependency you do not become independent...independence is a state of mind...you chose who you want to depend on...end of the day its a human you ultimately depend on...the only difference is the relationship and the expectations...i get more money from my folks than i would by working...by giving into my expenses, they save on their taxes on the other hand if i work i have to pay tax on that and my parents expenses go down and they end up giving it as tax. this plain stupid...so thats why i chose not to work and earn a living
