well probably because it's something that you enjoy doing compared to other professions, but other than that is a job as valid as any other because it gives you money for your effort, and with that money you pay the rent, food, clothing, etc imho

Excacly  I'm so sick and getting depressed of my office life and dept, I realy want to be free and live my dreams, my life.

i guess u allready bought your own house car and toys for your kids and food and petrol for next 20 years??
also sure u have your own airplain or atleast free flights so u can to travel around the world whenever u like to..
how do you even pay internet connection bil for all your wondering in digital space?

the fact you like this proffession does not meen u have to tell peaple dj is not a proffession, i know more then 20 peaple who live of djing , offcourse not only in psyevents but be sure its their work and its hard work if u play evry day 6 hours!

whover talks abt Djin as a job.....well it aint worth it if ur in for the fuk n glamour of it.....u aint gonna get good money till ur big.....small fry dunt cut it......

Soooooo true, imho it's got to be a passion, something that you feel a drive to do it because you love music with all your heart and soul, you must love to share that music and spread the vibe as well, and if the music production bugs bites you it's generally for good! you won't have peace of mind until you sit down and work in freezing a vibe in a consensed sound form to share it with others, money is not really that important if you can earn enough to pay for the most basic needs then you are set

enough is never enough you always want more....when you realize you have enough you see your 60 year old neighbor bringing home a sexy model straight from the FTV lab and you want her...to get her you need just another ferrari in your 40 car garage

Then imho Dj'ing is definitively not for you
In my case, the only things I need to be happy is a place to do my daily meditation, a place to create my music without being bothered, and an internet connection!!! some books are nice too but they are optional.
Once, after a 3 days party we produced in Acapulco Mx, I was with some friends, we only had money either to return to Mexico city where our homes were, or to go seeking adventure to Puerto Escondido Oaxaca a beautiful port town with incredible beaches, after thinking about it for some days we said what the hell!!! let's do it, we arrived pennyless so we slept at the beach the first day then we survived making and selling handcrafts, playing percussions and singing on the streets a lot of people helped us though a lady offered us an empty terrain she had for us to camp that was full of mangos and bananas so we ate that for some days and days later we went to Chacagua that is a virgin beach in the magical Oaxaca state it is kind of a reserve, so only chacagua natives can own land there but you can go and visit, we stayed there at a house that looked like the robinson family house with a friend that is known as el Diablo, everyday we went to fish and that's what we ate most of the days we were there, after that we went to the Oaxaca capital city, and we were having fun playing percussions at the main plaza, and spontaneously people arrived and they gave us money for our performance, it helped us to survive some more days, then to return to Mexico city, we hitchiked until a truck driver gave us a ride to the state of tlaxcala near a party that a friend was producing, he gave us free access and we had a blast, after that I returned with a friend who was at the party and he gave me a ride home, it has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life, much better than having a fancy car or that kind of stuff, the coolest thing was that first we were 2 guys and 3 gals, but we kept meeting people on our travels who joined the tribe all psychedelic warriors, we travelled all around oaxaca for 3 weeks and after the party, some of our tribe members still stayed at the main plaza in tlaxcala camping!!!
I'd do it again for sure anytime!
