I have had a chance to meet Uros ( aka Umek ) - great guy actually  , he is making sort of ASTRODISCO ( his way of thinking ) Mixture of minimal techno stuff with some salty stuff of house music and in that mixture he has added some tech house  astro sh*t You may check his stuff at his new label called 1605 here: http://www.sixteenofive.com/

a ok so ure talking about umek in techno
he is 1 of the best artists at the moment in minimal
techno has mad emany comercial good tracks
was also votes 1 of the best techno minimal artists of 2007

He is one of the best in his genre  will see him ina few months in Italy deep, funyk, groove and MINIMAL

He has made a label with his friend Valentino Kanzyani / one of the first underground labels of techno music in 99 you amy check it here http://www.recycledloops.com/

But those two ( Recycled loops and consumer recreation ) are really techno stuff, his newest label 1605 is more MINIMAL on maximum

Umek really good artist, I listen to him since the time I used to go dance often to techno detroit music
Remember his live set where some of the finest...
Actually I dig a little less the sound his doing, but just because I haven't really listened to his new music except for his myspace, I will check out his new label

Umek doesn't make minimal in my opinion... I'd rather classify it as techno . These are two totally different kind of music (imo^2)
