Been listening to this album for the past few days....and enjoying it very much!!!!

Good mix of Goa vibe melodies, U-Recken style and massive riffs. Should be a blast on the dancefloor!!!

Thumbs up Mr. Yaniv Ben-Ari... there is still hope for Israel

Indeed ! U-Recken is one of the best melodic artists at this moment !
I like most of his tracks, but here are still some things that i don't like on U-Reckens productions...

Despite of his very good sound quallity, killer melodies and perfect sound effects, i don't like the way he make the arrangement of the track parts.
In every track, the "dancing" parts are too short and the tracks parts are changing too often. If you listen a track from the begining to the end, sometimes it sounds like a "megamix" made from 4-5 totally different tracks which simply makes me bored after listening more then 3 tracks from him.
Another thing is, most of the time in his tracks the "Open Hihat" and the "Snare" parts are too short so this make the music good for home listening but weak for the dancefloor.
If i have to make comparations with other artists with similar style like Atma, Orion, Protoculture or
older stuff like Psypilot, Cosma... well, U-RECKEN is a bit too easy and fluffy when all this other artists have more energy and "dance floor "power.

In conclusion, I think U-Recken is really great for home or car listening but for dancefloor i don't think he is a blast.

This is only my point of view as a Dj who play mostly morning music ... peoples may have different opinions
!

Could be... i agree with the "....the "dancing" parts are too short and the tracks parts are changing too often. If you listen a track from the begining to the end, sometimes it sounds like a "megamix" made from 4-5 totally different tracks..."

Regarding the percussion issue (hi-hats and snare), in his last album they are not so proeminent allowing more dancebility....

But you got good points, i only DJ for fun but U-Recken is not in my sets so i cannot say, though i dont place him in the same style as the ones you mentioned...

Bullshit.

His last album (Deeper into Man) is very good and brings a lot of freshness into the full on scene. The tracks develop, having enough variation and a different structure from the usual full on.

In short: this effective and fresh album has personality, so of course it will take a DJ with personality to play it, unfortunately that seems to be lacking in our scene.

I like it also....though i dont find it very innovative in the end that is not the most important thing for me here...its intense, melodic and very psy-trance like which i welcome...full-on or not!!!!

And i will be seing him live pretty soon

I agree with you...but maybe as you see i don't give a shit about the usual "full on" because i don't like usual "full on" or what peoples call today "full on".
So, my comparation was not with usual full on but with the best "melodic" trance artists in the scene right now and not only right not!

Now about playing it in my set...well i tryed to play some tracks of his first album on some parties but the reaction of the public wasn't what i was expected...or maybe simply it doesn't fit in my sets very good because of the other artists i play... I usualy play around 145 - 147 Bpm "melodic" tracks and it simply sounds too slow or too fluffy for a Dj set on this tempo.

But..this doesn't mean that his music is not very good or he is not a Top producer !

Respect !

U Recken is one of the few great artists Israel provided to the scene after the millenium and his last album is great and original.

Enough said i guess.

By the way shouldnt this be into the Music Reviews section?           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Mmm... i tend to agree with Darius here. Im not the biggest fan of morning trance... but comparing the other load of crap full on these days.... he's quite the best ive heard from Israel for quite a long time. The first album was really a gem... a welcome sight for morning trance really...... Well i havent heard the second one completely but.... upon hearing the samples..... i gotta say... not really in par with the first one. Its got more clubby elements/feel to it. But nevertheless..very good production.

One of the most talented artists nowdays, guys, no discussion for that His work is very elaborated, you can quickly recognize his style because he's one step ahead melodically of most of the other artists we can heard today.
His new album didn't disappoint my high expectations.

this album continues the line of the first... emotional sunrise fullon with touches of doof basslines... i just love it i dont think his samples are cheesy at all - in fact hes one of the artists who manages to combine vocals in his tracks which perfectly blend with the atmosphere of the track - and if you listen carefully to the samples you can see how they fit the albums concept...

it might not be as unique as his first album as such type of morning music hardly existed (the no cheese heavy bassline atmospheric melodic type ) but thats only because he went into a direction that didnt really exist - and now he took that direction a little deeper and its still great and very special.

as for the skeptics on how it works on the dancefloor and who are saying its great for home listening i can just say go see his live... then talk ive been to both nature and clubs where he played his new album and it works magic... especially at nature exactly when the sun rises... brings out all of the emotions out of you

theres only one comment i have on this album and thats including the faster more fullon version of eye of the beholder - i think the slower more progressive oriented version is so much better... but thats just me

I prefer the full on version. The samples are very well fitted. One of the best tracks in the album.

The 'slower version' of this track was 'mistakenly' born, it was probably a mistake in the YSE Recordings mastering process.

I'm with goaren here, that 'version' is THE bomb           "From bitter searching of the heart
We Rise,
To play a greater part"

U-Recken's last album is a bliss. Finally there's something interesting out there, which is not cheesy (despite the vocals which, as Goaren said, blend in perfectly) or sounds like Israeli full on formula.
There's a point in what Darius said; some tracks could have been more powerful or dancefloor oriented, if the arrangement was different. But in my opinion, we earned here something else and maybe even better- the emotional feel. the music is deeper then most of nowadays releases. Talks less to the legs, more to your brain.
And by the way, i tried Elements and The Lucid Dream on the dancefloor, and it worked great!

Just because it is being talked about means people have obviously listened and are interested in this artist and album i.e. FANS
Great artists always have critics so it is good sign to have some.
This album is really good, no great and will be played to many people throughout summer.
