I am a noob using synths. I got ACE and I have find it kind of difficult to learn, overwhelmed by its options. Its seems for me its more usefull for people with a very large knowledege of synthesis and serious sound designers.

Diva on the other hands, WOW, you cant make sound bad that thing, is much much intuitive. The pads you get from that things are mind blowing. It's a thing that above 5 voices in divine quality it crushes almost any cpu, but well its the price for the sound.

wow no way mate! ace have a nice architecture with his semi modularity but sound nothing like good analog synths i like in many/most cases. diva is way better at sounding closer to some good analog sound imo but after it s about taste. ace architecture with diva moog code i m sure you would love it but not your cpu..

diva try to emulate some famous synths that why it use a similar architecture to these synths not ace that is inspired by semi modular synths (and it brings new things to you cause you re not familiar with semi modular).for cpu wait for unisson or try to make a pad, even right now a simple patch with long release kill my cpu...

+1

those guys made tons of measurments directly compared to the original synths wich are in pleasentful good condition..there is no synth at the moment wich you can compare regarding the sound of these legendary synths..diva is the one wich comes closest..

Im sorry mate, modular is not new to me I earn my money with synthesis and stuff. ACE is not really a complex one for me rather simple to understand. It is just a killer sounding synth easy

I am going to buy Diva to enjoy the introductory price but ACE sounds more fat and snappy to me (things that are lacking in Zebra imho)

bought it too and agree about the envelops i would say even in ace , my favorite u-he envelops are the one in zebra cause of the flexibility with the normal and mseg envelops and i find them snappy, the choice of the curve is more flexible and depending the sound sometimes it can really give superior result imo ...

in diva and ace it s good too i used them for drums percussions and it worked nicely with a nice depth in both .

i made one or 2 patchs when playing with diva that where sounding like vintage analog ,got really impressed .

i think it was some presets i made with first beta that probably dont sound the same anymore ... now i love the fm ! it sound really good and so much range ,really nice , try osc 1 at - 32 and silent, osc 2 +4 or + 2 and fm amount a sweet spot around 10..experiment with the waveforms.
it s possible to develop great fm leads starting from setting like this
