yeah rate thats all i dare to say for now, but on the whole a really cool and enjoyable party! well done shizzle!

Now before the Sizzle guys get themselves into a tizzle, just know that this is just constructive critism, not a personal attack. Your first outdoor and not to bad. Nothing wrong with the acts, frigging first class dark and melodic homegrown, so why the complaints. Could just be l337 and beatoffjunkie are idiots, but maybe not. Well beatoffjunkie is, he missed the point completely. To busy serenading the trees while feeling morbidly in touch with his feminine side. Your comment "fucken wicked rig" shows your ignorance. Yeah, maybe in terms of the Hi-Fi Corp system scale. I took a peek behind the shade cloth, fucking Wharfdale, baaarrrfdale, Hi-Fi Corp buy today pay today cause tomorrow you might just reeeaalize. 2 tops over 2 bass bins of pure taxi rated.....Thin, you lucky you even got the thin part, shit even behringer would be better. And last but not least, remember to take those vinyl covers off the monitor speakers when playing, not to good for them or where they a tad on the bright side. OK, suppose I'm being a bit harsh, but I recon you guys got a good sense of humor.

Jokes aside, with that kind of outdoor DJ live up (sorry, mean line up, get the v & n confused sometimes), with that kind of sound you need a proper system and then every set will cook, guaranteed. Its the most important part of the party, its why the people are there. The music, and the music is the sound and can only be as good as the sound, and if the sound is there, now thats when you see the dancefloor go off. Now you got people using words like thin and boring, now if there is one thing I know with these boys, they don't even know how to spell thin and boring let alone write it!!!

wow wallace...so your right then...hey ...if the rig was better the music would have been better right?

dude get real..if you need to judge the music by the size of the rig there must be something wrong anyways....

first off... we were not talking about the sonic values of the music... we were talking about structure and layering of the music...with respect to the thiness of the music

i must just note here mate... dont diss behringer...they make some fucking awesome hardware...people like you are just to arrogant and ignorant to realise... but then again you are probably a bit of a brand whore...but lets not go up the road. right.

i thought the rig sonically was good...it was overpowering , i also looked behind the stage to look at the rig...but the difference is i didnt jusdge it by what i saw , i judged it with my ears...

even if the rig had been bigger i would have still said the music is thin.

also as far as the rig size goes for that venue... its a good thing that rig gets no bigger for that venue...already there was a complaint from one neighbour...however the rig at that point is still legal noise wise....if it gets bigger tho, there could mean serious implications to that place being used as a venue/....i should know...i have been involved in several noise legal battles already.. and i promise you ..the person complaing will win

and lastly....

you assume far too much...

for fuck's sake wallace!! stop perpetuating the problem of intolerance of taste.

l337 and Beatjunkie expressed their opinions on the music. take it or leave it..

i'm very interested in reading yours, and a substantiation thereof, but why be so god-damn arrogant as to belittle other people's tastes. you like what you like, and they like what they like. congratulations, you know the names of some speaker brands.. and your thoughts on the matter make for good reading.. but to call someone an idiot for calling music 'thin', not 'shit' or 'crap' or another puerile epithet, but an educated 'thin'?!?

i hope you sleep well on your throne knowing you're an authority of everything. have a psychedelic noddy badge.           difficile est non saturam scribere

Wallace has good points.

The sound WAS lacking.....but turned out to be a good thing or it would have been turned off ALL TOGETHER!

The sound was above everyones bodies....the bins were head height.

It was not setup in the best was to make the best use of what was there.

Live and Learn.

We can;t all have a PERFECT first outdoor.

Not bad at all i say.

The crowd was generally happy and thats what counts.

Hey L337, lets not even get started on behringer. Basically every product that they have is a crib of another companies design. Millions are spent on R&D by leading sound manufacturers, then behringer just comes along when the patent runs out and does a cheap knockoff. Value for money, maybe, in the beginning, depends whet you want from something, nothing to do with arrogance or ignorance. Suppose also depends on whether you want to support a music industry pirate or support companies that are spending a large percentage of their profits on R&D and bringing out new products that are pushing the boundaries.

Thin is thin, a cheap speaker just cannot produce the all the frequencies, especially when you run them for long periods in extreme heat. That's why I said you are lucky you even got thin from them. Current Wharfdale speakers in this range are basically budget speakers, cheap lower spec speakers and thats a fact. If you pulled out the drivers and compared them to a proper pa sound system you would see by eye the difference. Small voice coils, etc, etc. you could put a whole lot of them and they would still give thin sound. I bet you if you heard one of the track you thought thin on a proper system you would be surprised.

As far as noise complaints go, yeah they are a problem, but that's kinda why we have these outdoor parties. Hopefully you have checked out your venue properly, know what's around you and taken the necessary precautions, otherwise what's the point of trekking all the way to some party, but you have better sound at home.

"Beatoffjunkie is a chick", well don't presume to assume a reaction to soon, hell thats kinda....I like "beatoff" chicks so I officially withdraw calling her a idiot (aren't we predictable).

Hey Caligula (you not a chick as well are you?)or Inspector Plod, you sack of slime, its late and you going to get me going. What amazes me is everyone these days is into hard and dark. The darker the better, but shit just have a little bit of a twisted sense of humor and everyone goes running crying to their mommies. Dude, can you seriously not see that I'm just fucking with them a bit. You have to expect that if you come on a forum and make comments, nothing wrong with them saying whatever they want to, I believe in freedom of speech, nothing to do with taste.

I don't like authority, so I would rather be called a hobbyist. As for the throne its not actually very comfortable to sleep on, I prefer the bed of 12 virgins and is your noddy badge hallucinogenic, because then I will have 2 please.

Hey Glitch, I thought they banned you from this forum, I see you are still on about the size of peoples dick's. But just remember what your sex ed teacher told you "its not the size that counts, its what you do with it" BWhaahaahaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, sure........

Haha Wallace your a funny chap...

so how do you know this... i bet someone told you, i also bet that the story arose from Behringer copying a mackie Desk? Yes? No?

Behringer do far more for the recording industry because they make it possibly for folks on a small budget to produce music without have to sell their grand mothers..

And btw... there are certain Behringer prodcuts which even really large recording studios have , such as The Ultragain Tube preamp...

which is a fucking good preamp....

bet you are the kinda guy who would put Rode down over Neuman , just because Neuman cost more and some snooty wanker from a big record company says different

you probably also think pro tools or logic are much better than Cubase or Sonar even tho you have never used Tools or logic...

but its ok Wallace...

You sound very knowledgable... yet to someone who knows a thing or two about sound reinforcement your reasoning to what constitutes a good PA system is a bit lame...

please tell me what i should look out for when i compare the drivers eye to eye
