(or how ever you spell it) :)

I have heard this name alot.... heard quite a few tracks and seen a picture.

but i don't get what all the noise is about ( though his music is really really good and psychedelic)

Does anyone care to write down some info about this name? :)

P.S: he doesn't look japanese or asian at all...

Well all i know and shortly:
Tsyoshi is very talanted japanese dj/artist
i really enjoy his own scratchy stile in trance
You probably heard for sure of his projects named Prana and Joujouka
imho he's also owner of Matsuri, or one of the owners..these last days i didn't hear anything from him since last album (Joujouka)
and couple latest releases on Matsuri and that's it
i will also appreciate an additional info about him;)
About his music..well i said above he has specific scratchy effects which are very interesting..try find f.e. Alien Pets..one of the famous..listen to those sounds..i wonder how;)
Or just buy any album by Prana (u won't regret)

Well he now announced his style is no more psy-trance or goa trance. He released new album this month in Japan which is all acid techno. He also released new Joujouka track, is like deep house not psychedelia at all. Most Jap like his play
whatever style he take. Also Matsuri label seems coming to the end after he found his new label as well. He is legend of goa trance for us, that's for sure.

So imho he never made such thing since Alien Pets with Chakra (imho)

I think Tsuyoshi is one of the 'Fathers' of this scene, and what he was doing 3 or 4 years ago, just now we can understand. I attended his parties more than once and he's a class A dj, never mind what he plays. I've been driven completely nuts and he played some craziest shit which wasn't even 4*4 beat!!! I went mad dancing then and it was some 2.5 years ago in the forum ( independance day party ).

About let it RIP.. He was right in his way.. GOA as it was in the beginning of the ninetees doesn't exist for a while now - if it's physically ( GOA sucks big time today and there is almost nothing there that reminds the crazy times 10 years ago.. Except maybe the grape juice in the Mango Shade.. ;o) ) or it's musically based - NOONE makes GOA trance anymore except some german groups ( and not the big ones ) and maybe Astral and everyone goes that Astral is boring. So:
1. Astral does pure goa trance - I understand that fact and that is the reason that I like them still.. ;o)

2. No one except them does it - so GOA TRANCE is quite dead by now.

Tsuyoshi Suzuki is a true artist and goes with his own progress and does which many doesn't - he CREATES trends and makes ppl like what he does or innovates and doesn't do what ppl would like him to do... That is very hard and for that R E S P E C T.

Cheers,

Yuli.

The music he plays is peharps not the hardest, but no DJ,not from any style of music, will ever touch him.  Mix discs, are great, but don't display his talent, the last party where he played (that I went to), he was mixing diff. styles of music, from trance to even slipping bits of house in every now and again, but the guy is a god behind the decks. He doesn't just string onetrack after another, he plays a set, it flows, it has a theme, and it is technical beyond the wildest dreams. In fact the party that he played at was imo the best party I'd been to that season. ('99 - '00).

Tsuyoshi Suzuki/Prana was "da man" and one of the orginators of Goa/Psy, but he has moved away from Psy Trance and is playing different stuff. I grew up on Psy Trance when I lived in Tokyo for 6 years and got into Psy Trance in '95, and have seen some massive parties there, and Tsuyoshi was going off at that time playing some of the best stuff ever.

If you want to see a class DJ, Tsuyoshi is one of the best, but don't expect to hear any Psy as the last party he played at here in Sydney only the last 2 tracks of a 2 hour set were Psy.

Bring on Summer Dreaming and Infected Mushroom!!!

Mr. Tsuyoshi Suzuki never was "da man"
He always was Great Man and pro-DJ
He was Great Man and have one best friend
One best friend help his DJ'ing by promoting it
Promotion is part of Buiseness
Buiseness is unbrekable fusion to some Arts
Arts is Martial Arts too
He studied Martial Arts and became the Master
and BTW
He Never used Drugs, and "Bandana" was nothing but part of smart promotion of his best friend.

And never call this Great Man Tsayoshi, he don't deserve it

Welcome, mr.Tsuyoshi Suzuki to Tel-Aviv

Heroes fall... Tsuyoshi don't like this word, "hero".
He is a Master of Psy-Kung-Fu, he doesn't accept stamps like Hero
