Taken from Bhooteshwara records:

Starting out in music playing clarinet, and becoming a member of small orchestra, the man behind Tryambaka, Tiago Coelho Pimentel found his passion for music in the acoustic sounds. Discovering trance and the art of electronic music at a later day on a portuguese dancefloors, Thiago was amazed with the fusion of simplicity and complexity of trance. His urge to express his feelings trough the music he loved to dance to, challenged him to experiment to equipment and begin to write. Tryambaka is one of the ind power sons of stage Durvassa. The one commanded to spread Abeda (unity among man). It literally means he/she who sees the world trough the third eye….

Shadows-
A 2 minute Intro, an upcoming to all the madness to follow. Lots of musical elements in the background, reminds me of Infected Mushroom Orchestra like sounds. 9/10

Sympathy for the Parents-
Lets get going, starting with usual angry bass lines but soon turns into outrageous chaos with church like praying in the back, and the story tangle into one massive rise- “what christian would call- the apocalypse”.. this what i specially like about tryambaka, the story keeps changing and the melodies as well- with twilights replacing the piano/violin like soundz. 10/10

Safi-Baraka-
I heard this track in so many different sets, in parties, here in isratrance in Dj sets, so i know it upside down and inside out. Starting quite slow, but pushing forward fast- and bpm's coming faster and faster. This soundz like a mass bombing of a city in iraq- Darkish vocals in the back, and it gets around 4:20 into one scarry track- Fast bpm's and and again that uniqe Tryambaka soundz, and to those of you who heard a track or two by him, you would know- this is tryambaka, no doubs bout that! Darkish vocals again, 6:00 and going to another different sound- again, the abillity to combine so many melodies in one track is incredible- “what did the dark lord tell you now?” 9/10

Catastrofe-
One of my favorite trax in this album, and for sure one of my fav's for 2008. Steady strong angry bass lines from the getgo, from 2:40 its starts speaking to me- Alienated soundz as melodies and continue with a small break-
scarred people running over, and rise up again to a different bass with lots of unclear vocals – What the hell is going on here? 5.41 and till the end of the track, this rise was beyond kicking.. purely pushing the bass and scratchy melodies into ma brain.
Brilliant track: 10/10

I Saw your Saw-
Again, spooky vocals at the intro- “all i can taste is blood and metal”, and then it begins- High bpm escorted by twilight soundz and vocals, steady bass with clear sound, till another vocal: “what the phuck is this?” and gettin faster and stronger on bpm, “congratulations, you are still alive”- and than again, that special tryambaka sound, story telling at its bests- this is so massive, till another break but quickly shifting stories again, like a new track has evolved, but we are only at the middle of the track. Wondering what comes next, what kind of twisted sound will he bring now?
Kinda suomi melodies now, “its too late, why? its the rules!” screams and horror- another rise- 6.02, it comes again, different melody, kinda fast piano (the black buttons). Again, one hell of a track: 10/10.

Wannabe-
Starting very fast, vocals surrounding, “is there anyone else in the room?” kicking hard, twilight in the background, “we have thrown our seeds in the enemy blood”- and melodies inside, up and down, purely tryambaka sound- no words to describe this, church pray surrounding, and the track kinda calms down, but quickly shifts to another direction- tangles to a different melody- brilliant sound with strong bass, slowly shifting the sound again, all kinds of melodies in the background, gettin faster and faster toward 6:15 and alienated sound, and a break to a full power rise
“suprize”, very kicking and bumping and that famous sound again, piano's violins, aliens whatever you call this, all mixed to one beautiful ending!
10/10

The pit lord-
starting quite calmly for tryambaka, alien sound in the back (the kind you get when listening to Rastaliens, buffed bass vocals till the rise- up and down, twilights and scary voices, very kool sound- whats gonna come next? it feels like one part of the story ended, not going to another direction.. piano in the background, opera chanting, and the bumping sound again towards another break- demonic voices that rise into that famous sound with twilights- unique and mysterious.
9/10

Blender-
What this one gonna turn out? slowly the bpm gettin faster, and again- i cannot say that i heard this bass lines before in any of the other trax.. it soundz like bubbles and quickly feels like listening to one of sepultura songs- guitar (feels like guitars) going up and down into the membren of my brain.. 3.40 shifting again- strong bass and scratchy leads, another break.. 5:30 “forgive her, she know enough what she does” to a different lead.. 6:11 another twisted shift, opera like chanting to a damn nasty guitar like melody escorted by church pianos, this is a deep as it gets.
9.5/10

Hardware nightmare-
my favorite track of this album, this is as dark as it gets. Strong fast bpm from the getgo, alienated leads all over, 2:55 “you have plenty of blood and violence” to the biggest and most kicking rise i ever heard-Feels like a lamborgini just kickstarted.. Mega super turbo- purely mind phucking, this sound is beyond any other iv heard in the past year, can clearly imagine myself on party throwing myself at the speaker from this rise.. one word- incredible!!
story doesn't end here, twilights leads and melody- 6:10 another shift in the story- different melodies.. he throws it all in, holds nuddin back- full power bass till the end.
superb track, 10/10.

M.F.A-
“iv seen this before as a child... we need to talk”. indeed, lots of vocals, what will come next? different samples this time, running all over the track, twilights and wicked samples.. 3.14 “chaos and fighting is inevitable”- for me the track begins here, and you already know whats coming...it takes a bit more- 4.35, still waiting for that tryambaka sound to shine- 5:30, another break- probably gonna shine now- again that seplutura sound with tryambakian finnish, holds nuddin back- full controll over the track, up's and down's all the way till the end.
i give this one 9.5/10

Revelations-
outro? what an amazing way to finnish this massive album! pure melodies, feels like marching to babylon or something like that, and so it ends.
9/10

To conclude this review i can say that this album is something beyond anything i heard lately. The sound, no matter how diverse, still holds that unique tryambaka touch- you can almost see it coming, but you never know what kind of twisted sound will it turn out to be. Story telling is perfect, not a single moment to relax cause you already know that a new melody, leads, sample gonna shift it all for another direction. Tryambaka does this perfectly. I can not find any track which i didnt get that special sound escorted by super strong bass. As of now, i am listening to this album for 5 straight days, repeating and going over and over each track. Its an incredible album, for me, the best in 2008, and of the best i have ever heard. Unified, powerful, full of psychedelic stories and excellent finish. Couldnt ask for more.
I rate this album overall 10/10.

Specially favorite trax: Hardware Nightmare, Catastrofe, I Saw your Saw, Wannabe and Sympathy for the Parents.

it's one of the best albums of the year so far ...           If Pac-Man affected us as kids,we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music ..

eheh that's my video!!! From that moment and that incredible live act i also became a strong supporter of Tiago. This album is one of the best ever...my favs are "Sympathy for the Parents", the inevitable "I Saw your Saw", "The Pit Lord" with its incredible ending, "Blender"...and others are great too. I just press play and go from start to end. Excelent work in all songs as i was expecting. Congratulations once again Tiago.

And i can´t wait for Sick Addition's album too! If we have to wait as much as for Tiago's album we have a lot of nails to bite though ehehe

that's a lot for the very positive reviews

it's the result of a lot of long and hard work...

the best part is realizing that everyone has different favorites (apart from one or other) wich normaly means that all of them are good enough to become favorites. that's a great honour!

thanks for all the support, i'll try my best to keep the level up to your expectations
