hey
dont know who many of you that knows him but i think he is one of the most talanted guys in the more tech'ish side of the electronic music scene
Bio:
Trentemøller
(Pokerflat) Producer and keyboard and fxs specialist.
Anders Trentemøller made his debut in 1997 with DJ T.O.M. (then aka TOM Von Rosen) when they formed the first Danish live-house act, Trigbag, and started playing lots of concerts at home and abroad. Some of these include three successful gigs at Roskilde Festival, but also a number of remixes and the release of the Trigbag single 'Showtime', which international dj's such as Alex Gopher, Laurent Garnier and Etienne de Crecy has been playing.
Trigbag dissolved in 2000 and Trentemøller choose to take a 2-year break from the electronic music scene.
During the summer of 2003, Trentemøller returned to the scene and joined Naked Music with his 'The Trentemøller EP' including the tracks 'Le Champagne' and 'Work in Progress'. The EP was an international success and was often played on BBC Radio One by dj's such as Pete Tong, Steve Bug, Danny Tegnalia and John Digweed.
Trentemøller's 'Le Champagne' also went # 1 in Steve Bug's chart of the 10 best tracks released in 2003, listed in the German music magazine Groove.
With a string of legendary remixes on labels both obscure and renowned, famous live appearances and performing exquisitely tight live keys with dj sets from his mate DJ T.O.M. around the world the buzz about Trentemøller has kept on going in the global dance community. Now Trentemøller is back with his new and rougher sound.
In December of 2004 'Beta Boy' was released on Out Of Orbit, and in January of 2005 Steve Bug released the Trentemøller EP 'Physical Fraction' on his brand new label Audiomatique, containing the tracks 'Physical Fraction', 'Rykketid' and 'Prana'.
Trentemøller received the award 'Up Front Release of the Year' at the Danish DJ Awards in February of 2004.
Trentemøller will be releasing his debut album on Poker Flat rec in early 2006

This Polar Shift is the best piece of music I've heard lately, very distinct original sound.

Trentemøller has been one of my favorites for months. For me, his music is incredibly trippy & psychedelic - but in a filthy way. IMO, much more psy than most "psytrance" I hear now.
His newest single on Poker Flat (Sunstroke/Minimal Fox) is one of the most subtly crafted pieces I've heard in a long time. I heard "Sunstroke" on a loud system last weekend (along with several others of his) and it absolutely destroyed the place.

didnt he also make a remix of chris isaac - wicked game ? one of my friend has asked me if i could get the track or at least some infos about it.. i tried to ask them down in loud (danish recordstore) before they closed down, but they didnt know it. -weird!
also asked them about the cover version he did of kylie minogue - slow.. they didnt have that either.
the kylie cover was not bad.. heard it on the radio once.
anyone who knows ? |
