hi friends , we can see that the psytrance scene is biggest with everyday that passies , but in some place of this strange planet , ppl wants to finish with this , so its realy nice to know how is the trance scene around the world and this is the perfect place to we know this. so , how is the trance scene in your city ?

The trance scene is still growing in Johannesburg, South Africa. We currently have two trance production companies in the Johannesburg area, keeping the scene alive, which I'm thankful for!! 
Cape Town is blossoming with the trance scene with some of the best producers coming from there & it's still growing!! I can't see that the trance scene will die out soon here

Well people,
I started the trance parties in Rio de Janeiro, first on on June, 2nd of 1998, with no more than 100 people, lost, never heard or seen sutch a decor. It became the most popular in the eletronic music scene inRio, I played with Alien Project for a 6.000 ppl, nice, Ari loved it, massive crowd, but now the authorities are not allowding eletronic music events saying tha we produce them only to drug deal in it, they are calling me a drug dealer! I could use that against them but i better not, to start doing the silent parties, with the adress only promoted by e-mail hours before the party starts. And that's how trance is in my city now..... |

hey FluorEnzo its very very sad read your message here bro , i cant think if in sao paulo ppl wants to do this too but with time i think you can make some pvt partys like you said.
here in santos the trance scene still growing and very nice party around , we are try to keep it underground
and you digital_roof why dont you start the scene in your city man ?

The psy scene in Norway is very small, luckely for us our swedish friends have a bigger scene so we often travel over the border to dance.
I estimate around 200 people in oslo to be into psytrance, they are not many but they are active and often also travel to other countries to partisipate on the dance floor.
And another good thing, the average age is very high so we dont get many lightstick kids.
its a psytrance party once a month or less
(This varies ofcourse)
Personal I think the quality is pretty good.
atleast here it's still underground !

Scene in Denver, Colorado, USA is growing slowly. The first psy party happened about 3 years ago. We've been having parties on a regular basis, both underground and in clubs, and outdoors in the mountains. There is a record store that sells fresh psytrance and techno.
Now we have a monthly, and a steady audience of about 200 people - I'd say there maybe 300 or 400 who are into psytrance in Colorado. We have yet to bring any international artists here - if this monthly keeps going well, this spring or summer there's going to be a nice festival outdoors. I think in a couple of years Denver is going to have a healthy psy scene, like Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco, but now it's still in infancy. |

thirteen party, thirteen productions party branch has thrown quite nice parties with international lineups since it came to exist something like 2 years ago..
usually there are something like 500 - 1500 ppl in these events.. and well.. they happen something like every few months.. as you can see all the "big" names have been here..
thirteen isn't the only one throwing parties with international line ups.. there are a few others..
parties with finnish line-ups happen in all the major cities of finland.. though ofcourse most of those happen in helsinki.. there are psy parties for wednesdays, fridays, saturdays.. pretty much every week to be honest.. you can get the picture if you visit http://www.elixiria.com and visit the upcoming parties section..
now i'm not a big fan of finnish trance so i don't go to these parties too often..
every year there's a festival for electronic music called koneisto.. it get's something like.. i'm just guessing.. 20 000 to 30 000 visitors..
to be honest the scene is quit healthy here..
TIP WORLD label party is the next thing i'm looking forward to.. right at the beginning of november.. just before huxflux party =) "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Travelling in South America, survey results:
Argentina: a small trance scene that is growing up all the time. Some very enthusiastic ppl pulling it onward.
Bolivia: what's trance??? There was one mixed party that vibrasphere played in when I was there.
Brazil: trance is going great, especially in the area of Sao Paulo. Lots of parties, a few festival every year, lots of local and foreign artists and djs.
Peru: Sometimes there is a trance party in Cuzco, but not too frequently.
In all the abovementioned there was an earthdance festival, BTW.
