I didn't read this thread till end, don't have so much patience, but inspite of such sad beginning of the thread, it is very positive. Trancers should support each other and when i c such a good treatment - mood lifts up:)
Go get some diversity. I think trance can't be boring, u can get tired of it but there is a big variety of trance-related music... Try something else and in some time u'll get back to trance.
Fight to trance :)

i had the same feeling few months ago...
these day`s... most of the time u`ll find on my mixer pure old goa staff. i just got back to the sources, old 12" from the early 90`s and mid 90`s.
i also get variation from other electric styles... dub, jungle, d&b, etc etc...
and the main thing... the creation
if u dont like what u hear... just make your own shit :)

its real funny cuzz we suffer from the music..
its the same arguement ...
the full on loves suffer when they hear minimal and i suffer when i hear talamsca stuff... |

i dont suffer from nothing.
i just enjoy 1 style better then the other...
and as you saw, when im stoned i enjoy everthing :)
the only diff is that at parties i cant dance to minimal.

it's all about age as well
as older you are then more seriously you take the music..sometimes it does depend, but in this case imo this was clearly predicted;)

In a few words, the scene is becoming way to serious. I miss the days when Quirk would put a vocal sample just because it was so hillariously funny and made no sense, not because "it accented the track" or whatever.
People just need to lighten up a little, stop digging with a hard face, and give some time to hear the music and smile. It's all a matter of the mood your in, and the mood the music gives you.
Of course, there are always time when you just want to take a journey into the music while digging like crazy, but the problem is that in a way, it limits the music. And trance always prided itself in having no limits. |
