I have many friends who are in their 30's nearing their 40's that are totally submerged in the trance culture... this means everything from going to weekly parties, listening mostly to trance all day, talking about trance, being involved in the scene etc...

my point is that they all look really good, not just for their age, but as a whole. i ask my friend one time how old he is just for information purposes and he told me 38.... when he saw the shocked look on my face he said: " What can i say, TRANCE KEEPS ME YOUNG "
mind you these people smoke, drink and party like its 1999 yet they manage to look and feel great.
is that the secret of the fountain of youth? - - Trance?           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

well, maybe there is no fontain of youth, but the trance culture, being involved in it....gives u some kind of "young energy"....
maybe the fontain exixts, but is inside of u and me, or us....the only thing we need, is the exact cataliser....2 have thix fountain emerge from within us.....
i myself am @ the age of 23, almost 24, and i don´t acuse the age i am....i feel much younger than that (of course i have my responsabilities, being young doesn´t mean u can forget thix things), and even sometimes i don´t even care the age i am....just feel great, just feel young, just feel i am alive....i think trance culture, gives u the energy, that u so call fountain of youth....
i myself, sometimes, don´t have the notice of time going by....
one thing that surprised me, very much, was on boom 2002, when i saw thix old man, dancing with another much younger than he, and the elder seemed that he breath some kind of energy...always having fun, and laughing....like a kid....the body may go older, but if the mind and spirit, stay young, then u are , really breathing youth....
stay cool, thix thread really have put me on a good mood!!          ...

the whole 'rave' thing started in 1987...People that were 16/17 back then are now almost in their mid thirties. I know quite a lot of folks that were bored with regular techno/trance and switched to the more 'friendly' atmosphere of psy in the mid nineties. The whole party stuff hasn't changed all that much, maybe it was even a tad crazier back then than it is now.

Since the scene develops in many directions including a very powerful chillout branch, many somehow remain faithful to psy. I do.

I grew up around adults who were totally submerged in trance.. most still are, and still going strong... getting younger by the day....
to me youth is an open mind...

one of our isratrance members, skyblugoa, her
signature is:
"I don't know but i've been told, if you keep on dancing you won't grow old" she looks lovely too.... by the way.

I do to... because of that same reason.
offtopic.

now,
I also think that youth is inside us, and you can be connected to it - through different things, not just Trance or Psy or whateever.

Age comes over us like layers of paint...
the brush held by the things we create our lives with.

the more the layers, the weaker becomes the luminescence of the Inner Light

Psychedelic life- or anything else u can connect with in such a complete and true manner, rejuvenates that Light- making it shine brighter and brighter, the deeper the connection gets.

the layers of age can no longer tarnish the silver Light inside...

it shimmers with youth from within a healthy body....

... healthy body...errr...

Nice post Indialien...

I do believe trance has a part in it somehow, but only if it is lived with the original paradigm changes it was suposed to include...

It doesnt help at all if you´r just one more cinic out there, going to psy-parties as if they were anyother...

It's a stress-relief thing, I reckon, and nothing relieves stress like losing it on the dancefloor for 3 or 4 hours...

I dunno, Surrender. I think it's a double edged sword.

I mean, I know people who are in the mid-thirties, and party like they're in their early-twenties.. but look like they're in their late-forties. ;-)

"fountain of youth, surrender?"
if only it were
if only it were!

it is a strange thing, mate, but ive found that after a full on night, my friends look loads younger...even when i look back at pics from the nite!
thats when you know it was a rockin' party!

<<(bom)>>           It is by will alone I set my mind in
motion.
It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts
acquire speed -
The lips acquire stains -
The stains become a warning - blah, blah , blah!

i reckon while you're passionate about something, u have a drive, an energy, hence a youthfulness...while one remains dedicated to something, whether it be trance or anything else close to your heart, you will never truly become old, aged, inactive or despondant as it will always compel u to living life to the full...

ya know what i mean? am i rambling?           ****andmysoulsbeenpsychedelicized****
