Most people's favourite stuff is, believe it or not, their own. To me, personally, these top10's do not make a difference, as I don't even take them into any consideration at all (yes, I do read that section from time to time)

well, you can drop 1-2 songs of yours to tease the people but not more! anyway i think each one who posts it should really write what he listens to, i'm like an artist use to listen to lot of my own stuff but even so i will not write all my tracks there.
hey maybe u should make 2 top10 sections: one for simple oens and one for promotional top10's

I dont read the top 10 section either, since I dont get all them unreleased killah tracks, it holds no meaning for me... Its just words, and tell me nothing about the music really.
Of course I could scout for new tracks, and have an eye out for them on a compilation - But my track nerd days are OVER.
Also, I would rather formulate my own taste in music, without to many "academic" influences.
Well - People need to think about what they write -its OK if thats really what they think are the 10 best tracks for them at the moment.
Its not new to me, that many people are very narrowminded as to what sound they really dig. Im guessing, musicians are not excluded at all from this group 
Hyping tracks is what people do, but that doesnt make the music any better. All they achieve is short lived success, since when people get to hear them, they are often disappointed because they have build up their expectations.
In the end, the artist will just loose credibility.
The Top 10 section, is for me, one of the most boring parts of isratrance.
Doesnt matter though, I think its a nescessary part - Because so many people have a need to express themselves in that way

the only thing i think its funny is to see artists and labels only posting their artist/label top 10 and then blaiming mp3, when they know that most people get those tracks on mp3, ages before those tracks are actually released!!! promotion, maybe this is the wrong promotion. this is only telling the people which new fresh unreleased tracks should they download so that after they don´t have to buy the cd!!!
and i have nothing against promotion, but if there is a section here only for promotional treads, then maybe they should keep the top 10 section as a top 10 section... |

all this bullshit once again proves that many people in this "scene" are out of place.
this is NOTHING BUT EGO crap.
since psychedelic music and culture is not about ego and stardom, just get the fuck outta my thang 
 
no, seriously, it´s really sad to see all those wannabe stars. they will never be stars anyway, but i feel sorry for their ignorance and narrow-mindedness.
in other scenes such idiots either get stars or get dissed the hell out
- immagine lamers with no talent pretending to be the real gangstas in the hip hop culture...
but we are pacifists and sometimes a bit too naive and credulous.
another stupid thing is the materialist approach that often the lame mainstream in this scene respect only djs playing the latest stuff or unreleased killahs
- that´s something for pop, not alternative underground scene!!! |

This turned out to pretty interesting.
Most of you guys and gals(dont think there where any in this topic) are against the posts in the Top10 where ppl post more than 50% of their own material.

I think this reply says alot...
However to when labels post in the Top10, then i think it's OK to post several of their own released tracks. It's still alot of different artists.
Well keep this topic interesting but no need to get all fired up like deejayridoo. No offence mate, but you came on pretty hard here..

Don't forget that there are also people posting only released stuff !!
I mean, totally skipping the section, well, oakay feel free, guys... But there are people that post some selections with some true feelings behind.. I mean doing it like : "hey people, if you didn't know about this one, or that artist, you should check out !"
It's quite easy to guess who is posting on what purpose..
It's yours to deal with it or not !

Oki, i just want to be clear about the purpose of this topic. My thoughts where that i must be more ppl than me who react to these lists. I do not want the section to be removed,as KakoOlalaJwal wrote:

I but i think it should be regulated in some way, promotion si good and selfmade promotion is good if you can back it up, but it should belong in the promotion section.
It's alway a thrill to find your own tracks in a top10 list.
So respect to the ppl who post "real"lists and to the rest, post them under promotion.
