I know im gonna get flamed for this, but isn't it pretty funny that some ppl post a top10 list containing more than 40% of their own stuff?
Isn't Top10's supposed to be reflecting your favourite artists for the moment?
If you wanna promote yourself do it in the promotion section...LOL

I say that the top10 shouldn't contain more than 25% self promotion. Any more than that is ridiculous.

well....what if my fav' tops ARE from the artists that work/release with the label i work/DJ for?
im a sucker for the Zenon sound.....does that mean i should add names that are not my current top just so people say "wow this guy is authentic"
i realize its not the same as posting your own music...but its close no?

I see both side's point here. I think the top10 is a "guide" to what tracks an artist would play if he/she were to play a dj set. So of course, alot of artists would play alot of their own material, and some won't ...

who cares about the top ten seccion most of the tracks wont be released due to the lack of quality

I just find it funy that people only reply to top 10's if it is somebody well known... it's not what is in your tops but who knows you hehe... the top 10 here was great pre 200 but since then it's just a gatheringof best buddies seeing who has the latest unreleased killah! Personally I'd love to see a top ten section for the chillout/electronic/world music area as well... |
