can't stand the speed, stay off the dance floor.

I have nothing against the speed. It can be 175 bpm and good.

I don't know what you're talking about. Darkpsy I listen to is quite trance inducing. Darkpsy you mentioned - I just don't listen to it. Why can't you do the same?

Anyway, how 'bout them Dixie Chicks?

I don't hate it. It just doesn't do the job right.

Two of the following tracks are trance inducing because the sounds are well thought out, they have a nice flow (Functionally confusing rhythm-changes like switching places between kick and hi-hat can be good. But it's not good to disrupt the beat in a distracting way or randomly shift bassline notes like crazy!) and an intelligent progressive structure. Can you tell me which ones they are?

None if you ask me, but that's cause I don't like this music at all, whereas other people love it. I will leave the dancefloor when this music gets dropped but others will replace me. So we can all take the piss at each other on here, but it is of no real consequence.

Peace out.

This track is totally where it's at. The speed is beyond ridiculous, beyond ludicrous.... it's.... GONE INTO PLAID!

Obnoxiously fast trance with humor... it doesn't get any better than this.

OK. I thought perhaps he was refering to my post about being cool with 175 bpm tracks as long as they are good.

No, I was referring to ANY music you may not like. Just don't listen to it. Problem solved. Whether it has insane BPMs or too much random tzwick-tzwack flying around or even if it's simply a new Goa track that doesn't sound old-school enough to you - click the "next track" button on your player and quit wasting everybody's time (your own, first of all) with this "discussion".

So, how about that Michael Bolton?

+1           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.

+2
(The smile has to do with Ocelot's attitude towards the "dark" label)

Plus the Forest sub-sub-genre: Atriohm, DoHm.

The founders and their close followers: Parasense, CPC (I think Mubali belongs here too, but I've heard only a couple of his tracks).

Darkpsy-FullOn crossover: Tsabeat, Penta.

The more aggressive/noisy/chaotic stuff (labeled by Basilisk as "psycore") is interesting too and I listen to it out of curiousity, but in small doses (it gives me headaches after a couple of tracks).

There is Darkpsy/IDM crossover by Axis Mundi, which is innovative, interesting and trippy. Unfortunately, some of it has sudden changes in tempo, which don't agree with my stomach for some reason (I am serious). If you don't have this problem, I'd recommend to you his work.

Super-fast, humorous and yet still interesting stuff by CinderVOMIT (or is it Datavore?). He inststs that his music is not darkpsy. But then, so does Ocelot.

Anyway, there is music I like. There is music you like. There even may be some overlap there. Why complain about the stuff you or I don't like?

Addition: I liked pretty much the whole "In Plants We Trust" compilation. Also, "Cycle of Secrets" and "Dreamshadow" on Ektoplazm.
