There is no "range"!!
There is only one true tempo all music should play at!!!
Take the length of the year of Venus, take its reciprocal to find frequency, then keep multiplying it by 2 until you get your True Tempo. Only this way you can achieve harmony and commune with the Greate Goddess!! Anybody writing music in a tempo other than this is not a musician but a talentless fraud. Anybody who dances to such false music is an accomplice in the evil Penis Conspiracy.
End patriarchy now!
Long live Great Mother Goddess!!
Repent, you male chauvinist pigs, or I will play the "red note" until you all start menstruating.

no

you are wrong....

you have to play in the range of 147.50 to 179.30 bpms to talk to god in the same set...

coz thats the bpm that the kundalini goes up and the brain enter the frequency that allow light speed trance state...

dug through my dark psy CDs last night and had a listen.

I found it fascinating that I actually found a lot of the early night psy & stuff like Digital Psionics is much heavy and darker than high BPM style often complained about.

Not the horror movie sample stuff but there is some really nice ones.

I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Too chaotic dark ? Where .. ? I want to be there ..

Dont think theres somthing like this and this is all happen in your mind , Not more .

You may know + Agree thats what is chaotic for you its not chaotic for me and what chaotic
for russian massive dark producers its not the same chaotic as the portugals toy dark .

So we agree now this is all a metter of taste + Some time age too .

I agree theres many producers (Those 160+ Bpm guys) who put any noise they have found around
without any connection to what realy happen in they story , Yes , There is , But this is not chaos .

I wish you one day hear an real dark chaos track when you can feel yourself in and be a part of ..

actually making a nuanced point, but the wording made it seem like another dead horse for sure. I only understood the point when the enichkin, furious, psykovsky, and selectproject videos were posted. Which is kind of interesting. Anyway...

I'm glad that at least one person gets my point.
This thread has turned into something else. I never complained about bpm for example.

I get it. It's really interesting to see such a simple point being made..and then all the spiral of negative force that follows the initial post...it went from one simple complaint to completely deconstructing the entire genre lol. woo            WARNING: The Reality Master General has determined that Mr. Vomit may significantly alter your reality. i've heard really good fast stuff and really bad. same with slow stuff.

i honestly can't imagine why you'd want to try to play 200bpm music, specially some of the stuff i've heard come out of america, it's just not good.

course same goes for the slow stuff, dunno why you'd want to play 120 psy…

honestly, just don't play bad music. who cares what kind?           Doof Local

You want to know what's REALLY no good? Spending the time and effort thinking about stuff you DONT LIKE.

Think about it, if you don't like it so much, go find something to enjoy. It seems like a waste of time that could be better spent actually enjoying something.

I always suspect the reason people spend so much time thinking that way isnt because they don't like it but because theyre frightened of it, intimidated by itor something like that. In this specific case it could be that the sounds are so drastically different that their preconceived ideas of what trance music is are challenged, which in many cases is met with stiff resistance as a response to the possibility that tehir preconceptions are not just wrong, they're a cage one has made for oneself. People don;t always respond kindly when teh ideas they value so highly are shown to be potentially obsolete.

Personally I wasn't moved by faster stuff at first, and the huge wave of not so good faster stuff turned me off. But Ive discovered that after a thrashing mix of 170+ material, frustrations are released, stress is relieved, and my whole attitude is much more mellow, which is pretty logical, stress causes tension, and exercise is a good way to relieve tensions, and allow frustration and anger to be vented harmlessly.

HINT EFFING HINT.

MAYBE ALL YOU STRESSED OUT NAYSAYERS OUGHT TO TRY ROCKING OUT FOR AN HOUR OR 2, WHO KNOWS YOU JUST MIGHT ENJOY YOURSELF, AND IF YOU DON'T, WELL THEN AT LEAST YOU CAN SAY YOU GAVE IT A FAIR TRIAL.

Also theres this thing called ARTISTIC LICENSE. It means that an artist gets to make whatever they want. Seriously though would it be preferrable to know that an artist made their work not because it was what THEY wanted but because it was what others wanted? I dont know, to me that sounds more like prostitution than art, art is supposed to be a reflection of the artists' vision, if other people like it, thats cool but completely irrelevant to the entire concept of creation.           .

I can't tell you how many times I've been at parties wanting to dance so badly, wanting to just rock out for hours and get my mind blown by psychedelic music..

"maybe if I take enough this time, the music won't suck. Please for fucks sake something grant me the ability to like and enjoy it..."

The intimidated, frightened, don't understand it part is hilarious a big part of the reason I don't like it most of the time is because I *do* understand it and it is unimpressive.

I will keep trying though, because I don't have a choice in the matter as I continue to go to shows and a lot of people play that stuff...            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

wow we agree on something here...except you would probably wanna be at the party i was complaining about being at, and wondering when the "psychedelic music" was going to start playing....

interesting dynamics.
