i think that is a world wide situation.
because the party organizers makes those parties in a way to earn cash and they dont think on the music (in most cases) and they (in most cases) not pro .
so what do you expect?

often in russia.. even when the only one guest lined up... and some people would not even come to this party without *the guest*
I think internet - can help organisers to post info about changes in line up before people pay money
