Salaam & Shalom people,
I know that there are people here in the forum that is really pro when it comes to “use the search”  (Surrender for example?! ... Hello  )
I thought that it could be nice if you could share & give tips/techniques to how use the search for better & more direct result.
Is this search has sensitive box to signs? (for example)
For example: using the””, + etc’...

sure man, great idea:
say u wanna search for astrix... but u dont wanna find every topic in the section that mentioned the word astrix...
so:
1. limit your search to "subject only"
2. and click the "ALL of the terms. " feature.
this will only give u topics with the word astrix in the subject.
u can apply this to anything else ofcourse...
let's say you wanna look for a topic you wrote in a section but u dont remember its name at all...
1. put your name in the "author" box.
2. restrict the search to subject again.
this will get you started topics by you, ofcourse again this can apply to any "author".
ill think of more things...

May I ask why one can not search the WHOLE forum. Why must I limit my search to one section? This small issue makes the whole search experience clumsy and "not so good". .. Or is it possible, just I haven’t seen the possibility?

I understand that we shouldn't clutter isra..but honestly people saying "use the search" constantly, especially from those with something like 25 posts, gets really annoying. If someone is asking a legit question I think you should just respond if you have the help to offer, or leave it alone if you don't..
Basically unless you own isratrance..leave the "USE THE SEARCH" thing alone. |

yeah i hope you do! soon it will be soo much info buried and hard to find with this search engine..
anyway when you search dont forget its by default "Last 7 Days" so you might want to change that to Old topics!
