Release text :

This is quite a special album for us. Different from the normal crop of Tip releases, yes. But equally valid and with bags of entertainment value! We are just entering our 10th year of business as a record company and we decided to start the year off in a special way. I am the manager of Tip but I also manage 3 other labels. 10 Kilo, Surround Sounds and Lucky 7's. This is a uniquely varied album which incorporates some versatile sounds from many corners of the dance music spectrum.

Previously Raja Ram and myself have endeavored to retain the original spirit and sound of Tip. We wanted to stay true to what Tip is and what the Psychedelic scene is. Although new production techniques have changed and improved since the early days and new ideas and influences have had an effect, the basic principles remain - to provide the latest and greatest tunes from the Psy-Trance party scene. The peak-time classics. That is, to release albums that have the biggest party tunes at that moment and get them to people as soon as possible. There are many influences and sounds out there and although some labels have incorporated Progressive House sounds or Techno and Breakbeat, we have largely steared clear of that on Tip. After all, Raja Ram will forever be fully focused on and passionate about this special movement we are part of. I however am influenced by many sounds and scenes here in London and needed avenues to explore new and different ideas. Each label specialises in certain sounds but there is often a point at which they cross. Across the 4 labels we have so many amazing and uniquely talented artists at our disposal, it felt about time to share them.

10 years of music and 4 labels. This is the meeting point. The album captures the timeless nature of European Electronic music that started with bands like Kraftwerk, New Order, Depeche Mode etc. The classic 80's sounds of Electro and New Beat are perhaps the thread. Not always an easy task to put such a varied selection together on one disc but it was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy it!

Looks like an interesting release, very different from the somewhat disappointing line of full on releases from TIP.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Is this mostly previously-released stuff? I recognize several tracks from older releases, but there are a few I don't recall seeing before.

they are probably ashamed of yahel or something because he is too cheesy????

I know lots of people who cringe when they hear the word Yahel.
Oh well, I like him.           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

Someone lost their head in the Tip.World offices
Where's the connection between the tracks?
How far can they go to recycle the already recycled material?
Electro Panic again?
Didn't they released Tip Story last year?
I just can't see the logic here.
Can someone explain me?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

PFN = Proper, Filthy, Naughty
also record as The Light, or occasionally as PFN vs. The Light (or The Light vs. PFN).

PFN makes music more on the tech-house/breakbeat side of things. They recently released a full-length album on 10 Kilos that was all over the map - breakbeat, house, pop, etc. I think Pasha could say a lot more than I about this CD.

They had a few hits in the trance (not psy) scene a few years back as The Light..."Expand the Room" is one that I recall being a fairly huge tune. Kind of funky progressive trance - it showed up on an early 21-3 compilation, so it sort of crossed over into psy circles.

PFN vs. The Light is their name for doing remixes, as far as I can tell (no original works under that moniker to speak of). They did a few fantastic remixes with that project, one of them being "The Phantom" which is on this TIPWorld CD. They also did an utterly fantastic breakbeat remix of an Austin Leeds track ("Nutmeg") that is still one of my favorites to this day.

I am a fan of these guys' music if you can't tell.

Actually, what I want to know are who are Fleaze and Digital Animal???

I guess this belongs in the "Artists" section.

PFN's lady singer is very well known in uk europe and the states but because she is signed with a major label she can not reveal her real name. lf she could, PFN would be a lot more well recognised than they are.
the words above come from Richard the label manager of tip/10k etc.
lucky 7 is a new punk disco label they have done and the name comes from a trendy american style burger cafe in west london. how spontaneous????!!!! richard can be hey?
l think Fleaze is a Thai Punk Disco band who have released the first single on lucky 7 in pink colour(not positive sure though, l'ld have to search my vinyl selves)
it would be nice if Graham was still with them, he was the only serious member of tip ever and the spirit and art of the label indeed. oh well...           Have a good time.... ALL the time
