I'm utterly disappointed.

Where's the party in there, where's the madness?

Johnny Depp delivers a bad impersonification of the Mad Hatter. Absolutely bleak and boring.

It's rape of brilliant material IMHO.

And I hope that 3D trend flattens soon. Hate it. Cinema is made for 2D. Come on, if you want 3D, check Real Life, it rocks. If only the movies were better.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

yeh it was too plastic...it would be great if it had more of the jittery acidish effect
like you see on festival screens...
oh and johnny depp sucked its like the sa same person who was Sweeny Todd, Willy Wonka and now Mad Hatter...like there is nothing special...instead of depp they should have got a slightly unknown and made Mad Hatters character more realistic..like the Joker in the last Batman

Losing all respect for Jhonny Depp. Another sellout bites the dust. Wonder what role Burton going to cast him in for Adams Family. Keeping fingers crossed it's Cousin It.

To anyone who was let down by this film, watch the original disney version again. Just incredible and so psychedelic for 1951.

Finally someone noticed it. Totally agree Anak.

Anyhow, next week it starts in Brazil.
Either way, I'm anxious to watch it.

I really love the 3d thing.Never ever was a fanatic of watching movies.
But since the avatar expirience I really was thrilled and the cinematic 3rd dimension is making me hungry to see sth new in such format.

And I agree the film story has to be as well good,so after your comments I wont go to kino for LS will wait for sth better.
Commercialy looking - this will make this industry save a bit from the internet torrents, file sharing etc.Sth that music still lacks of.For now in music it looks like all will be for free.
With the 3d technology people will pay again for movies since there is no alternative if you want to enjoy 3d .I find it brilliant.Art deserves sth back and them found a solution for their industry.Makes hope music will maybe find sth too, that will make the people invest and not only consume.

Hard to understand your points for me,why you would like to boycot this progress. There is always the option to see this movies without the 3d oculars.

Live performances?

But yeah, totally agree with your points. Went back to the cinema after a long long time for the Imax + 3D experience.

3D is not so new, there were some IMAX screens in museums that showed documentaries in 3D back in 2006.

And even now, commercial cinemas 3d cant compare to the onesin these IMAX facilities. why?

yes live performances is for sure the way of today,I think.
But it maybe somday it appears someting for simply selling music in a new shape or because of a new format or sth like this.

3D done right like in AVATAR or in HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON is pretty awesome.

These films were shot (in the avatar case at least) in 3D, while Alice in wonderland or the new CLASH OF THE TITANS were filmed in 2D - and then the studios got greedy, and said, Lets convert the movie to 3D to make a few extra bucks on every ticket sold...

the problem is this conversion doesnt look good and doesnt feel the same as the 3D in Avatar.

But as i understand it, Alice is a shitty film anyway so filming it in 3D wouldnt help it either way ...
