Tiesto tries to become a psy-trance star. True or false?

I've heard rumours about Tiesto wanting (or all ready has) produce psychedelic (haha, let's see how psychedelic it will be) trance music. I know Tiesto took Yahel under his wings, and I also remember reading that Tiesto wanted to produce psy-trance in the future. Now, last night I heard a new(?) mix of .. argh!! A remake of a classic. Can't remember .. ah!! Adagio For Strings . Now, this mix wasn't psychedelic, BUT the bpm was higher then "normal" trance (thinking about Euro-x-trance) and the leads and effects was much more .. well. inducing? Heard it? So, anyone know if there is a truth to this rumour?
Bash him all you want, but in many circles (people vice and pill vice  ) he deserves a lot of respect. Hell, a psychedelic Tiesto album could by all means be "fresh"? Hm, he should change name though.

i remember back in the days, when rain was still psynews member he said that he spoke with tiesto on some home trance forum, and tiesto sort of tolld him that he is going to produce psytrance, hehe, poor rain, he was so pwnd, because that dude he spoke with wasnt tiesto, it was just someone who used his name as ones nickname

This titso o what ever his name... he is not music writer. He is a dj (good one) so your Q is if he will buy Trance music and release it under his name? That will make him Eyal Barkan. His Name is like Adidas or Nike; bigger than what it represents.

Nathan, haha, i knew that, but totally forgot to think about it while writing the topic. Yes, he is first and most a DJ (good one, agreed). But he has produced a couple of albums (good or bad, doesn't matter). But yerah, a DJ is what he is. Maybe he will lead the new generation of mixed psytrance albums/compilations? He is a good DJ. *thinks of old Magik releases* Even though the popularity totally ruined the "Euro-trance" scene. Psytrance scene has a lot of the same viruses as Euro-trance had in it's day. Now Euro-trance is all dead, or morphed into full-on.

100% true tiesto is really a great dj great technique but his music is pure shity crap, and he will sell reebok tiesto shoes too |

i think that IF he turns to psychedelic hes capable of producing good stuff and surely different from usual fullon or psy.
hes a dj ok but he has produced much music too with big success!

ONe minor problem tho.... tiesto doesnt make HIS OWN music..
he sits with engineers who make it for him..
so what is going to happen here...he going to to work with skazi or astrix...
anyways..has he even recovered from his little incident. maybe he sore the light
but none of us are going to take him seriously right?
however if he did my psy and played it...then he would commercialise psy even more possible...thats if his eurotrance fans dont rip him to bits for being a sellout like IM...hehe

well tiesto dosent play euro trance any more..he plays progressiv house/progressiv trance (not progressiv psytrance) |

Besides, Euro-trance is dead, it began to disappear in 1998 and in 2000ish, the whole genre had turned all cheesy (except a few exceptions) - It evolved into Euro-Dance-Trance (hmm, funny to see that lyrics started the whole RIP of E-Trance). As mentioned before, the History of Euro-Trance (once a very respected genre) is very similar to Psy-trance's history. As soon as a genre grows in more popular terms, it will automatically get watered out and damaged for life. it's about exploiting. PS. anyone heard his prog-set's? Any good?
