Rumors of a car crash causing his death were spread on the Internet in September 2006 but the website announcing the news turned out to be a hoax. The rumors created by Henry Williams [citation needed]
However, on Tuesday, September 19th, Tiėsto complained of chest pains and shortness of breath. As a result, he was hospitalized in the Netherlands for medical testing. Early indications are that he is suffering from a condition known as pericarditis. The doctors are confident that he will make a complete recovery through the use of medication and rest. It is understood however that he will be forced to miss some performances he was scheduled to appear at.

And yes Tiesto does Trance and not house and no Tiesto makes no psychedelic music.

i know there is more to trance then psy..i wrote it also..you dont seem to give it a reading at all..(pr0fane)
this argiu is pointless..and i was wrong in one thing-to get in it and try proswade you that tiesto makes house and not trance.i dont care anymore..he can make polka music ill still wont like it. |

Popp a xtc* pill and put on the old Tiesto "Magik" compilations from the 90's and I'll guarantee you will feel
trance from your spinal core and out. The man deserves respect. No matter what.
*Drugs are bad for you. But old (Euro-)trance music was build on the effect of xtc. Just as Goa/psy-trance is build on
the effects of hallucinogenic/psychedelics. Chill. Get over it.

ok.point understood.i made mistake by saying tiesto make shit and boring music.alltogh its not my taste at all its not shit and as an artist i should have known better that creation of an artist is not to take for granted.for that im sorry.
but we both know that posting a sample here wont give nothing.its obvios to say everybody here will say its boring..and nobody will be objective.hell..you got here people saying i have boring psy music before they have heard a second of my trax.

No Orca, it was too see what you classify TRANCE music to be.. i wanted to know what style YOUR music falls' under to better understand YOUR definition of Trance music.. maybe then will i understand why you insist Tiesto plays House music.. Nobody want's to say your music is boring except pavel maybe but pavel's cool so its ok for him to say that !!  ( p.s. hi pavi !!  )

we in israel have a wrong defenition of trance.
in the entire world the music that Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buren and the likes make is called Trance. the type of music that we deal with is called Goa or Psy trance (and yes, suomi and Tech-trance and prog trance and full on and Dark are all considered subgeneres of psy-trance). the comercial trance in europe is taking about 60% of the electronic dance music market, psy trance is hardly 5%.
In israel Psy takes about 60% of the market hence Trance became the nick for psy-trance and other kinds of house were refered to as house (allthough they are far different from Chicago house, or NY house or any other type of house music).
at some point even sasha and digweed were considered to be playing trance.
please read again the defenition of trance in wikipedia it is quite extensive and coveres it quite well. (and please don't presume that you know more about trance then the people that wrote that article).
and tsabeat, the fact that me or you don't have any of the artists that are on the list that you listed (btw, i do have Gouryella and Valhalla on vinyl) doesn't mean it's not trance, you and I just don't listen to Trance, we listen to Psy-Trance.
and it's about time this topic is locked.
