| Son Kite is a fine red Bordeaux Wine, lots of subtle nuances, it gets quite heavy sometimes, the aftertaste is complex and almost more important than the real taste. Atmos is "Crystal", the $500 champaign all the rappers keep babbling about, its sparkly, light, care-free, subtle and sophisticated. Ticon, on the other hand, is BEER!!! |

Hahaha.. this analogy was the best Ive read so far.. Tomasz is the gangster-hip-hop-crystal-guy for sure!

Great album, but i got bored after the first week listening to it. Maybe cause it's so retro. |

Zero six after is a good album, maybe not the best Ticon have (the best one is Rewind deffinietly), but still very nice. Great production. Favourite tracks:
- U Make Me Wanna Drink More
- Chicken Shaker
- In The Dirt
And this album isn't retro, it can be everything else but not retro. |

Ah shit... I was pulling my hair out trying to find the track that Analogue H ripped off. I knew I had it on an old CD somewhere, but I should have read the rest of this whole thread first. Union Jack - Cactus. Do you really think it's an homage to Union Jack though? When I first heard Analogue H I thought, "HA! That's fucking lame! They've totally ripped off that line from that wicked old track that I used to love!"
Apart from that, I usually always cringe a bit when I hear the old 'bassnote-between-the-kicks' basslines in new music (ala U Make Me Wanna Drink More), aswell as the old 'boom-digga-boom-digga' basslines (ala In the Dirt). It is a very well produced album with some great moments though and is pretty nice on the whole. A lot of it really feels like mid 90's trance with better production values to me, which is not nescesarily a bad thing, but straight out ripping off stuff from songs of that era is pretty lame.
If it's beer, I think it's more of a nice, crisp easily drinkable lager than a deep, mature and complex Belgian Trippel. |

That's what I also thought when I heard the last track, nevertheless it's a good album in my opinion.

The melody in track 9 ( The Analogue H ) Is taken from "Union Jack - Track 1 or 2 (There will be no armagedon album) " that came out on Platipus Recs.
Such a qaulity tune and what a remake of those old sounds
Thumbs Up!

Ok, i have to eat my words... it's not retro, it just has some retroish elemnts, but the music is after all timeless i guess. And actually the sounds didn't bore me, i just overdosed it. It sounds fresh again. |

Certainly the most talked about album of the year. Everybody is talking about it. The tracks are being played to death here in every party, but i guess the reason is obvious. This is a great album with great music (yea, that's rare), the usual Ticon hi-tech production, and very fun, because it is Ticon after all. As Aje calls it and totally rightfully, beer trance.
9/10 from me.
Favorites: 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10

My favorite track is "Poem for Granny" - very specific work with old samplers hints. |
