People dont confuse horror movies with thrillers.
Hostel is a horror movie while Seven is a Thriller.
For me Seven is one of the best thrillers ever,great story,great acting,amazing atmosphere,amazing film.
Also for some strange reason i very much enjoy The Ninth Gate because of its deep and dark atmosphere plus some of the characters make me feel really afraid like the twin guys in Portugal.

sixth sense dont now if u classify it as a thriller but was a hell of a movie
the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!! |

Silence Of The Lambs is a great classic indeed,Anthony Hopkins deserves an Oscar as the best bad guy in a movie ever.
Sixth Sense is indeed a thriller but i find it quiet overated and not near as good as Seven or Silence Of The Lambs that are already mentioned or other still no mentioned movies like The Skeleton Key or the great Storm Of The Century by Stephen King or even Stigmata.
Smillas Sense Of Snow is amazing in the first half but after that the movie becomes a joke and turns from a great thriller/mystery movie into a B Class sci fi/action film.They tottally ruined a movie that could have been just great.

"action film" is a bit far fetched imo. there's only one explosion in the whole movie  but to each his own! btw: they didn't "ruin a movie", they just followed the source material; the movie is based on Peter Hoeg's book "Frøken Smillas fornemmelse for sne"
as for the dr lecter movies, i also dig Hannibal. but the others, Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising, are absolute crap. the books are all very nice though!
