I might not go as far as to say the dancefloor was huge, but it was bigger than the video makes it look, for sure. Also, to be clear, the clip is very, very unrepresentative of his set. I suggest changing the topic to a generic dubstep v psytrance topic, or I guess a personal attack on yidam
topic (because maybe that's what's going on-I'm a bit confused) so we can continue to say smart things on the internet.

This is my point of view and I dont expect anyone to agree with me....
Dub Step is Dub Step and Psytrance is Psytrance. The future is only a concept that no one can predict with accuracy. Some artists produce music with the whole idea of art behind it which i call self expressionism which has no rules. Some artists research the market and produce music to satisfy the evolving tastes of listeners. Some artists care less whether their music is accepted, glorified and then termed as commercial. Some artists chose to be callus about whats hip and whats not focusing on plain and simple music creation and consider acceptance only as a bonus but nothing more....
I doubt anyone knows the real reason why Psykovsky played dub step? correct me if I am wrong here.... 
Besides, there is a thin line between arrogance, over confidence and taking things for granted. If an artist is booked to play Psytrance, it is only ethical to play psytrance. If the organizers request the artist to play another genre accepted by the audience and this is discussed between the two, he/she can play whatever is requested as long as the genre still fits the very broad realm of psychedelia and is accepted by the artist.
Some of the dub step tunes do have a lot of elements of psychedelia in it just as Psytrance. The difference between the two is quite obvious. I dont think we can sit and compare or even draw out similarities between apples and oranges..... they are both from the fruit family the same way dub step and psytrance are from the music family.
Again, this is just my point of view and no one really needs to agree with it..... [huggz]

This music I am hearing sounds lousy but it isn't impossible to do a nice dubstep/psytrance crossover. Bird Of Prey is awesome... and have you heard Brujo's Bowl? You must:

look, if you're tired of it, fine. that doesn't bother me. there's a wonderful forum that i read alot called dubstepforum.com. it's a great place.
also, i don't really listen to psycosksy all that much. hell, i hear that he's at a party and i kinda meh it off. i mean, he's great and all, but i like different stuff. best of luck to him tho.

More like 200 people on the dancefloor, and can you honestly say that "Texas" can't have an Alien Longhorn on the altar?? That was one of the most creative centerpieces i've seen. Forward thinking for sure in the terms of concepts. What's the last party you threw? Lets see some pics!

comparing a completely different style to psy trance and saying its the future...well sounds negative....dub step will be dub step and psy will be psy of course they do co exist at partys but not in middle of some psy trance...usuallly as every one knws in a psy trance dominated festival dub step is show cased in alternative stage (in most of the partys)....just becoz few big artists play dub step in middle of psy trance it cant take over psy trance
well i like dub step too...very intelligent music..for sure no doubt in that...but i prefer it to be played in alternative stage or may be if there is only one stage..then towards the end of the party/festival
both styles are unique and awesome in its own way non of them can take over each other
