The youngest is for sure Jhunya, Jhon Ford's (Phantasm, Sundog, Mindfield etc.) son. He started when he was younger than ten, and he's probably 15-16 years old now. I never heard him play, but everybody that did said he's an excellent DJ.
As for the oldest- well it's a match between Goa Gil & Raja Ram...

age has nothing to do with regarding how good one's skills are.
you can be an excellent DJ at 15, and an absolute pathetic one at 30.

DJ'ing is an art, but no real respect for this form..(though i tend to enjoy it myself time to time)

there's greater satisfaction in creation..

so lets talk about the youngest creators!

as far as I know Erez Aizen has to be one of the most talented people in the scene, but I can tell you Itai(Buji) here is 16 now but made some really amazing tunes when he was 15..much better than say the shidapu stuff of the old days, but times have moved forward and so has technology, so that can be debated..

ummmm maybe i should have opened a new thread ;)

Hey Shahar,
I played before Junya at a Boom Records party last month and his skills are impressive, he goes into 2-3 tracks in 10 mins...

Also, as Purple Passion said, DJing is an art, however producing is a whole another aspect of music... As far as I know, Junya has compiled a CD called "Loaded" in which he features on one of the tracks with "Dick"

Well, I started Djng at a real young age, been listening to Goa since I was 9 or younger? and now am 17... there is also Dj Simon in Goa, who is quite young (teenager) and getting to be quite well known, yeh there are a bunch of Dj's who are young... most of them are good!

hmmm, let's see. the ones youngest i know are Sesto Sento. i like the fresh attitude. Matan is the oldest there, he's 18. Itai and aviram are 16,17.  i know another kid from Haifa, i gave him his first CD 3 years ago when he was 12 and now he plays like a demon. i think he'll be known to the public in less than a year :)

the oldest DJ I've ever met is BIM, i don't know how old he is but you can tell he's got all the goods like one hell of an expirienced and sensitive ear and eye for the crowd.
