Jon:

*fun yoo, moneyfunsta* - You know fine well why I was asleep for HuxFlux, and you shouldn't mock

I always forget you never went to the Drome back when Antiworld was good. It is one god damn tremendous holy grandma of a venue. See you friday

How far is it from the Mayfair club? I'm hatching a half baked idea to try and go to both
          always with the monkeys..

well one of the best parties I went to last year was at the black swan.... it was tribe of frog when dark soho played... they had an outdoor marquee etc. The main room has a low ceiling but you get that ludicrously good bristol atmosphere:)

On the other hand it is true that the synergy project is gonna be a night to remember, and no doubt psygate will be excellent too with a great lineup.

> How far is it from the Mayfair club

hehe well..... the drome is london bridge and the mayfair is vauxhall. It is definitely possible to do both - they are both zone 1. But Id be amazed if you made it.... fingers crossed:)

It is true I was never at the old drome cos I was in LA during that time. This is why i am so excited - i have had to stomach people going on and on about this blessed place for the last year and a half....

Reviews?

I'm a bit upset I couldn't go to this party, but it would be great to know what happen.

I had a really good night on sat - it was more like an in door festival than just another trance party. There was good sized crowd in - it was busy but it not too rammed and the other spaces had just as much -if not more - attention paid to them as the psy trance room.

I spent most of the night in the Liquid Connective room as thats where some friends were playing. i would have reported back on the Kumba Mela Experiment - but they had a few technical hitches and played a bit later than scheduled - and at same time as Chillage People.

As well as the two chill out rooms there was a main band room - but only went in there once, plus loads of little areas with healing, massages, small acoustic area etc

Due to the lack of running orders for the psy trance bit - couldn't really tell you who was on when - the music was good - but I never really broke a sweat (!).

The security were quite tight - but not as bad as I'd been led to believe.

Overall a really good night and 8am came far too quickly!

Well we rocked up quite early and very excited... maybe it was about 11. I was immediately blown away by the venue... it is far and away the best psytrance venue i have been in!

Ok well there are snags it is true : the main floor is not so large in proportion to the overall area, so that it was _really_ busy and baking at some points. And the security was laaaaiiiirrry....not with me personally (e.g. they offered to replace my cheese and pickle sandwich which was taken off me at the door).. but i heard bad things from pals... well they were drug related i suppose.

After exploring the numerous rooms i headed back to hear Lucas. This was the best music of the night for me! I reckon I might be a minority in this... but he was playing steaming tunes one after another. It was all wrecked machines / sub 6 / pixel style clever fullon which I think is amazing music. Dual Head vs Wrecked Machines - Which One was a highlight of the whole evening, which was surprising cos it was still so early!!

After Lucas i think it was Rinkadink in his new 'serious' guise:) The crowd were really loving his music once
he got going. A mixture of old and new including material from the SEP compilation which I like a lot. Actually one
odd thing was earlier Lucas played both Rinkadink/Flamin Hoons - Ultima and his remix of Balojax... odd considering it was clear that Vanna would play them later!! Anyway i danced at the front the whole time:)

Stella Nutella's set left me a bit cold.... it was a bit too hectic for me... so I spent some time
elsewhere. I am sorry I am totally useless and forgot about loads of stuff I wanted to see! I am
annoyed I missed Alex Patterson and also the Chillage People - the music in the main room was
hit-and-miss so this would really have been a very good idea.

Disappointed a bit by altom. I mean his set was musically excellent..... I think maybe I had just built it up in my head too much.
Perhaps it was just the number of altom tunes in a row which was the problem on the dancefloor. I think he's one of the best producers around, but the energy level was just a bit subdued in that environment. Oh well.... perhaps it was a pharmokinetic phenomenon;) Anyway it was similar with Orion the other week, but other people were really enjoying Altom.

Then Patrick Patsy to finish... very enjoyable progressive, especially towards the end of his set.... stuff like Nuclear Ramjet - Evolution and some Green Ohms tune hoho (which i really liked but Hugo had to tell me it was green oms). It was the third time Ive seen him play - new year, a terrible triptomine squat party, and saturday night. This time was as good as new year which is a good thing:) I am a biiig fan of progressive at the end of a party. Oh yeah... I am a big fan of progressive at _any_ time.... oops!

Ok crowd was extremely friendly and it was great socially (yeah i always say that these days ooops:) But it's true! And it wasnt true e.g at son kite so there's a counterexample). Decor made the massive venue seem quite intimate... no mean feat.

Overall it was a top party, even though the music had some dodgy parts (for me personally). Party ended at 8 which was fine but i wanted a couple more hours cos I was having such good fun.... The venue could hardly be better, though with less people and less decor i think it might feel a bit barren (not the case on saturday).

[Also had a lovely time after the party sitting out on clapham Common in glorious sunshine with some friends
juggling/sleeping/getting drunk. Perfect way to round off the proceedings:) ]

see you all next week at the mighty astral phoenix!! hoorah! The music will be unstoppable!!!!
