from the twisted mailout i just got:

"If you are interested in catching one of your favorite Twisted stars this New Years Eve then you have 3 choices and 3 locations!"

not musicians, not artists, not djs- stars!!!

i find it lame. i mean, i expect it from skazi, but...

Its been like this for ages with 99,5% of this scenes top artists and labels. They are all stars - according to themselves. Indeed lame to say the least

They are indeed stars for some people. If i would had to call someone a star in this genre it would def be Simon P. Imo i don't think this is such a big issue to come here and whine about.

whining is nice

I guess some of us oldies remember a time where the music was the stars not the people behind the music. Just a flashback back to good old days           www.beatagency.dk

This. In the grand scheme of all things promotional, that mailing is not so bad. Have you not seen the ridiculous ego-inflating bios of all sorts of psytrance acts???

Of course, we would prefer our 'stars' to be as ego-less and humble as possible...but we can't have everything we want, can we            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Questioning the validity/purpose of your whining != star worship            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Wow!
Two "leaps of faith" in one post.
Pauldo refers to them as "cognitive missteps". A more common term is "logical fallacies".
