Bro, Catatonic despair, Syntrax some of Savage scream music and fatal discord track on V/a kitab al azif is very dark.
And xenomorph get his dark prowess from his adventure in Doom/Gothic metal style from his early years..which ofcourse has faded away now.

yeah finding truly dark stuff is hard... the two D.M.T compilations on Nabi are about as dark and sinister as it gets, but that's mainly coz they're full of Celsung and Catatonic Despair and Infect Insect (who for me is much more a psychedelic than dark artist)...
Crying Orc I am yet to get into, but will grab the album in hopes it will blow me away and I can finally get into them... I feel I'm almost but not quiite there with them... am putting together a mix of DMT pt I & II and if Nabi give the ok I'll put it up next month or so when I record it...

Silent Horror is one of the best Dark project with really dark & Horror athmosphere with heavybasseline like Melorix, K_Lapso, Palex, Xikwry Neyrra with nice leads & FX...Killa Stuff |

for me dark enough is Pink Floyd "Umma Gumma" album. I remember when i first listen that... it scared me man! and there is no talk about bpm and stuff, it's just experimenting with sound and moods.
