if you don't mind listening to ambient, try an artist called lustmord, I promise you won't be disappointed...
Also try an find Spies - Wide Shot  Cheers and good hunting

This artist SHOULD be tried... He comes under the genre of psychedelic... but not really trance...

you should check out Ollie Olsen - I am The Server ...... the whole album is pretty much ambient...... has a very creepy dark sound, gets scary a lot too. must have a listen to it |

your best bet would be Industrial/noise music, xenomorph-likes don't exist anymore. as you said even the guy himself now does general idea acid lines...too bad. maybe someday he will go back to the old vibes. he used to be pretty strong

I don't know why people are mentioning artists like Derango here... they are the Gods i know : ) but does their music create a "dark" atmosphere? I doubt.

are the few who can actually pull off the dark deal in a classy way IMO without making it sound cheesy or obnoxious
