The Real Ambient DJ checks in....
Jis J, aka Hippy Dogg, forwarded me the thread... thanks for checking out and debating my website.
First off, you guys and gals are right - I do not specialize in ambient or chillout. When I named my company, I extracted a concept from electronica with something that would translate to the commercial market. It is a stroke of luck, or else a perverse phenomena, that the website www.ambientdj.com was even available two years ago when I registered it.
Here on the East Coast of the U.S., there is not a lot of money to be made in DJing electronic dance music. The underground scene is shallow, and the fans tend to be young and on low budgets. I mostly listen to techno,trance,house, progressive house in my spare time, but the opportunities to play at parties with these genres on the menu is limited. Since my mobile DJ operation is a for-profit business, I offer music for everybody... some of it I like, some not. Weddings may not be cool events to DJ, but they pay well. I think you get my point. 90% of my parties I enjoy, regardless of musical style. It's a lot of fun, and better for me than being a bedroom DJ.
Anyway, sorry if I offended any of you with the name of my company. I have no intentions to change it, since it seems to bring in the customers. Props to the real ambient DJs out there!

OMG...you are tha man.very impress w your trance-techno set list.I just don't know who the loyal gigolos are...too bad...
get the new eat static to bounce on the between...other ways...all good.is a bealtifull music world out there. |
