The track that made you go "ooh yeah this music is where it's at".

For me despite enjoying this music as part of my life from 92-93 onwards it wasn't until I heard Sandman - "End Of The World" that something clicked and no other music could give me the same feeling. I still listen & dj & produce drum n bass, techno, house & commercial trance but this was the turning point for me.

probably during some mixtapes from friends of mine and the first dj's in hamburg; names like dj kaharva, dj radenko also mixtapes from tsuyoshi suzuki, than I know of a goa track from etnica on a trance sampler that I heard each day, unfortunately lost the name. The first really intense musical trip where I focused my mind also on the artists and the names of the tracks was definetly the first flight from Flying Rhino, with tracks from X-Dream,Sheyba, Slinky Nuns etc Have still the original vinyl yay

1996 - Flying Rhino - First Flight (VA)
Tracklist:
1. Slinky Wizard - Lunar Juice (Hallucinogen MS Remix) 0:00
2. Pleiadians - Zeta Reticuli (Lazy Spiral Remix) 8:14
3. Slinky Nuns - Shitty Stick (Better Than A...) 19:31
4. Hallucinogen - Trancespotter 27:22
5. Sheyba - Trance Africa Express 36:30
6. Slinky Wizard - Funkus Munkus 45:55
7. Technossomy - Indiginus 54:35
8. X-Dream - Create Your Own Happiness 1:03:34

after all this years of psytrance goa i hear only oldschool goa like this above or some artists from now that produce really goa, like Khetzal, Artha, Mindsphere etc
The dark, hitech, fullon, proggy of the last days don't do it for me more and more I hear other forms of music on daily basis tbh but so good some excellent goa albums exist though.          https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

cant really put my finger on it, but i guess my first encounter that got me totally hooked as you describe mike (in terms of WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS? GODDAMN!!!) was a pretty eclectic compilation which had juno reactor's high energy protons, but the one that did it for me was scooter's (yeah, scooter!) rhapsody in E

mind you i was a 12 year old back then

I´m not a veteran, so my turning point was around 2000.

I can easilly remember about this:

I still can fell the party atmosphere and lights from that days. Really trippy music, even with a fast bpm.           LOADING...

My favorite Atmos track by miles.

For me it was MWNN - Sly Ed in 1994.

sly ed: seminal release!

for me, well at the early ninetees i was not strictly into psy, all kind of electronics were interesting for me and parties would play all kinds of underground stuff.

one smasher that sums up what electronic music for me is about.

this track was like mandy for my 13 year old brain at 1992. remembering that maybe max 5% of all kids listened to electronic music back then, it was still so exotic, you were the weirdo if you were going out to clubs and rave. lol.

many other tracks to be named for genres like psy or techno later on.. too many to be named.
