Have any of you actually though about respecting people's right to some quite time? This complaining seem quite egoisitc to me. Sorry if I step someone over their toes 
You all seem to bitch about people complaining because you play (loud) music. Well if I am not mistaken I bet your turning up the volume pretty loud so your already damage ears can hear it better - I doubt you keep the volume down to a acceptable level in area where you have thin walls and neighbours. You see I know our little cscene and the people's (selfridgious) attitude when it come to their sacred music
Respect people's right to some quite time. Then they might also respect your music at times. |

HandA , of course, but we dont know how sensitive this neighbour is....
if you want a quiet surrounding you should move to the country side.. people must be able to live and enjoy music... but sure you need to respect your fellow beings and we need to understand that the bass in this kind of music is very annoying behind another wall... cause you only hear the omph omph omph omph
a compromise would be the real solution...
but i know people that you just cant talk to, they are too bitter...
so there are exceptions to everything...

Yep, I was thinking the same HandA ( hej, I´m agreeing with you ,  )
Seems that people easily forget how terrible it sounds when you are on the other side of the wall.
I for one got many times pissed off myself, because the neighbour was blasting, when I wanted some quiet time. I didn't call the police though.
All these certainly amusing ideas of how to deal with the neighbour, show some kind of ignorance, or even arrogance.
deeplydisturbed said it right, talk to the people and try to find a solution, if that doesn't work out, you have to move and find a more suitable place, you can't expect your neighbour to leave.

there are two sides to every story....
so on one side Geshtunkenfucked is rite at his part....mate been there....it is very annoying coz when we really wanna use the speakers proply to the fullest n have a great time..people havin a problem with that can be a pain in the A**.....
but on the other side am sure most of us have been on the other side too when we wanted some peace and quiet n we dont get it we get irritated....
so both the parties are justified thus far...
but to goto the extent of callin cops and tht too soo many times...isnt a good thing...
the best things i could suggest are...
either have a decent talk with ur neighbour...how ever unreasonable they are after all they r human...and it is not very difficult to tell them that u really enjoy doing soo ...and it is not done just to annoy them or what ever....and also bring out the point that it is only done during the day....
if that doesnt work...as people suggested put the speakers on a table with a cushion whch can absorb the bass ...and try closing all ur doors n windows..this way hardly any noise seeps through...
and also if possible have a tlak with the cops and tell them decently that u r doing what u like..and that ur neighbours r being a tad unreasonable..am sure the cops mite understand too...
and bro one last suggestion...sorry this is gonna be a lil expensive....
the final thing u can do if NUTHIN works out....go for an i-pod.....
hehe am not marketing apple but beleive me that thing mite look small but once in use its as good as the volume blowing up ur neighbours brains..
think about it...lemme knw how it progresses..

Ive been in your situation. That is the lil town in Indiana
Indiana law states that you can whatevr the fcuk u wanna before 10pm. SO tell the cop to take a hike.
never had any problems wit the neigbours tho..
Mine were Vampire underground-Gothic kids.
Used to play who can bang harder BASS!!!

Okay, here's some more background on this situation:
- Every time the cops have come, it's been at about 7:00 - 8:00PM on a weekday.
- The music was actually WAY TOO LOUD just once, while i was in the shower  hehe...
- He came over yesterday cause we were watching Kill Bill Vol. 2 on the surround sound, and the b*atch below us called him.
So that's really fucked up that we can't even watch a bloody movie at home in the daytime......
Anyway, I found out that the person constantly calling the cops is a nurse who works all night and sleeps all day..... so there in lies the problem...... I can't be expected not to watch a movie just cause my neighbour works at night... right!!...
Anyhow, I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.... I've used the cushions BTW.

i have neighbors that always shouting at me to turn down the volume
but they do alot more noise than i do, sometimes they starting drilling and sawing and hammering in the morning when i sleep and i tell you this noise is much more disturbing than music (even psytrance) in high volume..
its very random and disturbing noise unlike music that you can get use to.
i say make noise, but musical noise..

Nurses and cops stick together
anyway now the problem is more clear...
and even more complex if you have other neighbours, which means that you can never play your music loud...
i guess you just have to adjust and turn down the volume...
maybe ask your neighbour if you can come down to her apartment and find a decent volume that wont intrude too much...
i did that with my neighbour... tho she is almost deaf so its not a big problem now days..

hmm.. yhea. I see your problem more clearly now. But as Trip-to-a-coma (hehe, nice name, if i understood it correct?) said, try to listen from her appartment and see where her bedroom is. Maybe you could just move the speakers and the problem will get better. And maybe she can change bedroom ect.?
