i don't think it's cheesy at all. i think you can find a dozen more cheezy tunes in other trance artist that would be tenfold more cheesy than this.

Hehe at least we've got here a good trance musician ! It's an emotional track. Technically I think it's very good too. |

not only that, this track actually tells a story without words.
now listen closely: a friend of mine, one who has never heard trance beyond what you get at infomercials and eyal barkan, one who likes listening to blues and rock, heard this piece at my house. she looked me straight in the eye and said: this man, the person who wrote this piece, was he sick or somthing? did he suffer of anything?
goes to show how this is one of the ultimate pieces of music present today. a coherent track, with a steady theme and a streaming idea, this is one of the best works of music (not just trance) i heard in a long time.

what do you mean disregard the sound?
this track is "Ancient" by definition and was written before the nord and the audio and the cuebase were invented. it's like asking how come jimi hendrix never used a multi-effect, only cause it wasnt invented yet.

Today it's considered cheesy, but it's an old track - a classic.
