ok..then i would say the event are quite ok but if you got a good amplifier the dynaudio would be better..other site of the thing is..if you really want to make music then safe up for good equipment and you will become better on everything much faster that with lower equipment..

Greetings All,
I have a pair of KRK RP5's and I feel that I'm not quite getting the sound I'd hoped for. I feel that when I listen to projects that I am working on, the sound actually sounds better through the headphones i use vs the monitors. Is that because they are cheap? Or do i not have them tuned right?
Also, my next question is: What's the difference between the Mackie HR824MKI's and the MKII's? Would getting the Mackie's make the projects sound a helluva lot better?
PLUR,

Hey,
I use to have the RP8 from KRK, not bad, but it was nothing for me.
If you listen to a lot of reference tracks on your krk, you can compaire it with your music & try to make the same quality.
But offcourse if you buy better monitors, it will be more easy but also more expensive.
I would not buy monitors from Mackie, they make good mixers, they make very good pre-amps, but the monitors are not that good.
Try genelec or dynaudio in the same price range. |

Hey medicine man.
You should look at the environment you are monitoring in. This is by far the most important factor that gets overlooked all so often. The monitors are fine. Do some research on sound theory and acoustics and you'll have a much better understanding on what is actually going on.

Always keep in mind that this can be personal taste.
I know pro's who work with KRK, but these guys have a very good studio.
