I havee the Adam A7`s.

The high end is unbeleivably crisp, althought the botttom end does suffer as they dont go below 40hz however their response and low/high, mid and high are all excellent, i bought them over the dynaudios as they where £500 cheaper and i didnt really hear that much difference apart in the low end, but they out shown the dynaudios every where else (in clarity) imho.

thanks

go for the Event SP8 . U can get real hot deals.. I even saw it for 850 USD on ebay one time, brand new.

I bought mine from ebay for 1000 usd. fucking awesome speakers. just read some reviews. it will piss on the mackies. but if u got the greens go for the dynaudio bm15a, but these are very high price..

Hello guys,

It's time for new monitors, the choice is between the following monitors:

Dynaudio Bm6a, Genelec 8040, Adam P11A and Event ASP8's.

Any tips of which one we should buy?

I looking forward to a nearfield active pair of speakers.

Psytrance production in a small room with no acoustics yet.

Best regards, great topic !

i would narrow the choices to adam p11 and dynaudios

i find events to fluffy and coloured and the genelecs although very good kinda soft and hifiish!

I agree although I haven't used the Adams, but I'm not a fan of the Genelecs or Events.
Dynaudios is great but I would also recommend checking out the new Tannoys.

I love my Reveal 8D's and prefer them over the Dynaudios, and I guess the Precision 8's is well worth a listen if you get the chance.

Thx for the tips guys, we are currently using Dynaudio bm5a's but we find them a bit weak and we don't manage to get that low end we want from them...
What about the Mackie HR824's?

the mackies are indeed loud and have lots of bass.. many people like them i dont they sound too soft im my ears and the bass is way to sloppy and uncontrollable..

i have also the bm5a and although they are fine monitors they luck power and bass indeed.

i would suggest u to stick on the dynaudio sound cos u are allready used to it and u will avoid the learning time of a new pair. get a bigger dyna with more power and lower end something like this... http://www.thomann.de/gr/dynaudio_bm15a_aktiv_studiomonitor.htm

lots of power and low end and ur familiar dynaudio sound.

next check the adams.. http://www.adam-audio.de/studio/nearfield/p22a_data.htm

Thx Atropa, Review-wise the p22a's seem to kick dynaudio bm6a's ass, but listening to some ppl and reading forums it seems the Adam are also lacking some lowend...
Let's see if we can find a shop which has both models and do an A-B comparison...
