Ah..ok.
Or you could do the same thing once and put the recording 180 degrees out of phase with the original..see what it missed.

Hello guys. Quick question:
What external soundcard would you buy (can be used in good cond.) if you got 350EUR? For longer use!
Some oppinions of your choices (why this one) would be also nice!
Thanks! Medulla Oblongata & Xibalba Festival Crew |

Get a good DAW before a $1200 interface?
How many MIDI tracks were you able to play before?

Will having a 24/96khz card improve the output qaulity when converting from Fruity project to WAV? -compared to 16/44
I'm convinced my projects sound better(clear) when i switch from 44khz to 48 (ASIO4all v2)in the audio settings with fruity. FL do not recommend it for causing oddities
I'm looking at firewire options for my laptop. Just curious, will the output quality of my VSTs sound better? |

No, not at all. Only in terms of monitoring. The playback may sound better to you while you're working on your track or listening to a rendered mix (which would be pretty unlikely since most players don't support 24/96 wav), but 98% of the time you'll have to convert it to 16/44.1 before burning it or sending it to a label. The most you can do is bounce your mix at 24/96, master it, then render that at 16/44.1.
Your interface/sound card's capabilities and quality have nothing to do with bouncing tracks unless you're working with hardware. You don't need a card capable of converting 24/96 to analog signal to render a track in 24/96. If you're using the same DAW, it won't matter if you have a $100 card or a $2000 one (although the $100 card probably won't be able to process the audio if you DAW's output [to monitoring] bit/sample rate is at 24/96).

If I understand this correct;; The only benefits to getting a 24/96 card would be for better monitoring & mastering and (from what i understand from other posts) reducing some latency -before ultimatly rendering back to a 16/44 medium.
Why not better to monitor with 16/44? ->so not to fool myself with unachievable quality

The end result will still sound better most of the time, since you can do all of your processing in 24 bit (and still be able to hear it as you work) before the final render. The most important benefit of having a 24/96 card is for recording, but this doesn't effect most trance producers.
Either way, if you want to buy a decent card/interface I think you'll have trouble finding one that doesn't have this capability.
