I've had the Omega and the Alpha, and both were terrible. Like, REALLY bad.
Drivers were buggy, noticeably horrible signal to noise ratio, and not very durable. The USB ports were really weak, and I had to repair the Omega's and replace the Alpha's at one point..neither were even used live, they just broke from unplugging the cables.
Even for the price, I think they're the worst interfaces I've ever had.

this is about a piece of static hardware. What workflow do you mean?
Of course the sound quality.
Not to mention the fat dsp plug-ins you can run with them

But it ain't got the best quality converters that's for sure.
Prism, Mytec, Lavry etc

d2, you should reply outside of the quote..it's getting really confusing.
Have either of you even used it?
And Jaadoo, what are you talking about with "the fat dsp plug-ins you can run with them"?
Anyway, looks very overpriced, and based on the D/A and A/D specifications I think I would rather use an RME if I needed that much I/O.

I been using Protools for about 6 years.
I don't rate the RME though!! |

Can anyone could give me any advices on what soundcard should i get.
I m plannin in buy a new lap in some weeks, and i need a soundcard to use with it. I m a amauter begginer, i use FL studio 8 and i pretend to use for know just a midi keyboard with it (axiom i think).
I just want to create my tunes in FL, with good sound quality, using my midi keyboard, and record it, althogh i want to be able to record some dj sets from a pair of cdj200 and crap mixer.
Am I missing something important? |

From what you've said you need, pretty much any interface will work..how well it will work depends on how much you want to spend.
