Ah u made me puzzle.. Cause now Im not sure does semi-weighted means heavier - more natural, or lighter.. I hope its more natural, cause I love to feel the keys, and if resistance is bigger u feel it more.. At least it should be cause it has aftertouch and if u don't feel it good there's no use of it..
And pads, well u cant compare them to drum machines, its another league, drum machines have lamps under pads and stuff like that, this is made for bangin hard on them like on mpc... If they're like the ones on MPD, and company says they're even better, than I will like them..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

What do you consider natural? Fully weighted keys are meant to feel like a real piano as opposed to a cheap Casio, so semi weighted is somewhere in between.

They feel more realistic, but less natural to me because I'm so used to cheap keys..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Great, so it is like I thought.. Im also used to light keys with no feeling or aftertouch.. I remember playing on Juno 106, its just awesome, hope MPK will be something like that.. But Il have to prolong my order for next month , Im sick of waiting it to arrive, when it comes it comes, in the meantime Im gettin the Ti..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

@x-rayz: Dont worry dude, i received my mpk yesterday, and the keys arent this light as i tought, but is cool. The controller is very cool, didnt have any time to play with it yesterday, but today i will spend my time doin a template to set the knobs and faders to the fruity. Also i need to set the start/stop/record buttons that arent working since i installed a FLteamplate.

The controller is very well done, the faders an knobs are way better from the ones of my behringer vmx300, but i didnt have any time to play around with it at all.

Haha, my dealer called me yesterday also and said MPK is in town.. Its good keys are heavier, its more real.. I had to prolong getting MPK for another month, cause I bought Virus Ti and Im broke Hope MPK will wait for me as long as I waited for it..

Say, u have 3 set of controls is that right? 3 x faders, 3 x knobs and 3 x pads if Im right? But however if u use it on different channels thats 16 x 8 knobs, thats a lot..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

I dont get the ``3 set of`` part, it came with 8knobs, 8faders etc, but, i think i know what you mean, look at what I found at image-line forum when i was trying to syncronize my mpk to the FL:

Quote:
3. the knobs and faders are set to use the common channel on the controller. The common channel is set in the global menu, and I usually have this page up whenever I'm working. This way, since controller assignments in FLStudio are channelized, this will allow you to have a total of 48 controls x 16 midi channels.

p.s i didnt understand the part of 48 controls x 16 midi channels at all, maybe you understand it better.

I was refering to banks.. Like they say on site "8 full-sized, 360 degree rotation pots, each with 3 banks for 24 pots total"..
Banks work like this in example.. First bank has controllers 1-8 which transmit CC messages from 1-8, now when u switch to second bank u will still use same controllers 1-8 but their CC messages will be 9-16 and so on..

As for the 48 x 16, well 48 is the sum of all pots, faders, pads including play, rec buttons and all..
So basically what he said an I previously is thats u have 48 x 16, that 768 controls on your MIDI controller.. I think u have enough controls to control some mid size space ship, and what to speak of some VSTs..

KKkkKKkk, sure 768 controls you can conquer the world. nice. In my internal mixer I was just settting the first knob and first fader to send signal to the selected channel           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

Here how i did. In the mixer, i set the first 16 faders (from bank A and bank B) to the first 16 channels. In the bank C, i took the first 3 faders and set to control the Eq on the selected channel. The 4th fader i set to control the faders of the selected channel (to control the channels from 16 and up)

Now i m lookin a way to set up the knobs to the VST, but even when i mark to control only the selected channel, in some VST the knobs control them even when i m not with the vst window open.

And a last thing, the drum pads, they sound very low compared when I hit the keyboard keys. I already had set up the pads sensitivity to maximum, but i have to hit them real strong (with maximum sensitivity, with minimum sens, i would have to hit them with a rock) to do some not so loud sound, and when i hit the keyboard keys with much less force, the sound is a lot louder.

dont know how to fix that, and the drum pads was the thing that i was expecting more.           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

"some VST the knobs control them even when i m not with the vst window open. "
Thats cause some VST already configured CC messages, u usually get a list of those CCs with VST..

So the banks work good.. Thats nice to hear..
Pads were bit hard on MPD as I remember, friend also said they're hard..
Ill have to go to dealer and check that keyboard..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

the keyboard is awesome, but i m very disapointed with the pads. Very hard, and it lacks precision, or I find a way to fix it or it will be useless for sure.

actually i bought more cause of the keyboard with the pads....but anyway, forget what about i said about the pads..

i just reinstalled windows and know the pads are working great, much more agility and much more light to play, before that I had to literally punch the pads to make it work...but know....it is working like a charm..           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

Yeah I already complained to local dealer that I heard pads suck but he said they're not hard at all..
Im waiting for the APC40 to come to the shop so I can test both, maybe I even decide on APC if it wont cost too much..
Theres younger brother of MPK announced, MPK 25..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions
