Hey bit late but thanks for this. Had a go on the FM7 tonight got into the synthesis for the first time and had some good fun, and created some interesting sounds http://www.reverbnation.com/thecontrolzeds

try a sawtooth wave ,frequency modulated by a envelop (start with fastest attack ,0 sustain and decay to taste )

hey guys
i get totally crazy when i heard this acid lead that enter at 3:20 , i have tried saws, high filters but i didnt get a satisfied with my results, anyone got any suggestion? any special synth?

I'm not too experienced with sound design, but how would you make this sound on say vanguard:
(comes in at 1:52)
It sounds like a detuned supersaw to me but I can't figure the rest out.
Theres also another lead at 2:34 which I have no idea how to make.
Both are used in a lot of Astral Projection songs.
