I don't hear (Macbook Pro speakers) or 'see' an additional noise: it sounds and looks like an isolated kickdrum. The part you highlighted in the picture is just the attack where the frequency moves down quickly, and a part of the sustain. After the attack you can also see the amplitude (height i.e. loudness) of the wave go down a bit and come up again: this is probably the result of a compressor on the kick. Maybe your headphones distort the kick; do you still hear it on your headphones when you turn the volume down to something like 3/4? |

hey orgy, i expirienced the same thing.
some kicks which are cutted out of a tracks have a little noise in it because there was no comlete silence of the other instruments.
i have dynaudio bm5a and on them i don't here the noise, but on my akg k271 headphones you hear every fucking detail.
result: make own kicks without noise in it

puh, finaly someone got me^^ yes there was a minimal delay from another instrument in the stolen kick AND WE CANT HEAR IT WITH EXPENSIVE MONITORS BUT WITH CRAPPY HEADPHONES FTW^^

lol i wonder why noone is intrested in THIS^^ because you spend so much money for the speakers but dont hear the truth. i dont get the point of it...

now the next questio is: does this noise disturb or not, if you only hear it on headphone?
i noticed on the ace ventura album (reboot), which is excellent produced, that on one track, if you listen to it on headphones, there is also a wired noise on the kick, but without headphones it sounds awsome (like the hole album..).

Screw (The Truth)
There is no single 'truth'. However, it would annoy me too if a kick doesn't translate to headphones as desired. Good point to always check in headphones! |

Use "Bazzism". Its the easiest plugin to make Kicks so far. The quality is FAT too. |

realtime tweaking, meaning create one on Attack or bazzism then sample it. dosnt matter personally aslong as the envelopes are tight
